Easy enough to assemble even though there were no instructions though I did check the online photos occasionally. There was some light oil on the ladders which needed wiping off and some black dust which may have come from the rubber parts but again, wiped off OK. There were a couple of slight dents and scratches from where everything was packed tightly together but it's a working item not a decorative one so it didn't bother me. I agree with another reviewer that wing-nuts would make life easier. I tried our local hardware shop but he didn't have any in, but he told me I would need M8 nuts so I'll order some online.Some people have said the platform was too long to fit but I found that by tilting the ladders in at the bottom (as someone suggested), dropping the hooks over the rungs then straightening the ladders and bracing them with the handrail (different to the one pictured - mine is a round black tube) the whole thing fits very snugly, and locks together so that you can lift it as a single unit by lifting the platform. Perhaps the other people wanted to be able to just drop the platform into place or they were unlucky with their order. I'm very happy with the security of a 'locked' system.One slight problem is that it doesn't fit our stairs so I wonder if ours are a non-standard size (the house was built by previous owners). I needed to work with the platform half-way up but with the legs securely on the stair treads, the platform sloped and the ladders were slightly tilted but I still found it usable and it felt quite secure though I stepped on very carefully to begin with!For anyone wanting to check against their stairs, the platform is approx 1.58m long including ladders. The bottom rung is 14cm off the floor (with the lower struts in place) and the spacing between rungs is 28cm from the top of one rung to the next. Our stair treads are 7" high and 9" deep which leaves the whole contraption tilting outwards and looking precarious though as I say - very stable even at that angle! To level it I would have needed 6" blocks under the lower ladder which would have felt very dangerous to me. Anyway - job now done!Just for info, I'm 61 and female and did this by myself as OH was working in the garden so it can't be that difficult, and I can lift it fully assembled and carry it a short way fairly easily too. Very happy with it.

OK product but i have stairs that are 90 mm and that is wider than 90% of uk homes which are 80 mmi noted that reviews of this product where people asked if they would fit stairwells of 80mm and for some reason people were answering that the feet were 68mm someone else said 69mm then someone said they were 78mmI contacted supplier and all they said was they were not responsible for the reviews on amazonShame but i will have to cut feet to fit stairs or use without feetso remember the feet that they supply to use in stair situation are in fact 95mm and you will need to modify as the supplier does not give options of differing widths

I have a caravan. I have always struggled to clean the roof safely, usually balancing on stepladders, having to twist my body to manoeuvre a brush to clear the grime, use a hose, and dry it off. I purchased this to instead to give me a platform to work off. Its perfect. As delivered, the platform height wasn't right, so, rightly or wrongly, I made a modification (drilled an additional two holes) that allowed me to attach the platform one step higher. The manufacturer would not recommend that you do this, and I am not advocating that you should, but for those perhaps contemplating gaining additional height ( as was I) then you can. Its light to lift/move, and sturdy. It also stores easily when you need to put it away. Really pleased with my purchase

This product is only suitable for flat surfaces, it is not designed for stairs like it says. The stabling feet are way too wide for stairs.You can’t use it as a full ladder as there are two brackets on the top two steps. You also have to build it together once in place with the bolts. Not good if you’re using it in a small space. The quality is ok for the price, so only gave it a 2 star review because I had to send it back because it didn’t do what it said on the tin.

As others have said no instructions were supplied which seems odd. However by looking at the pictures of the assembled platform it was reasonably easy to work out how it assembled. As another reviewer has experienced, the platform was longer than could be accommodated between the ladders and it was necessary to cut half an inch or so off the corners. Once assembled it is steady and seems safe if properly leveled. When I unpacked the box one of the ladders had several dents in and the plastic end caps were shattered. I was sent a replacement ladder and that also had some dents in it. Not sure whether this is a quality issue or the items were damaged in transit.

Bought this to make cleaning our motorhome easier. I had previously used a step ladder to get up to clean the roof but it always felt a little precarious. This makes things a lot safer. It's fairly easy to assemble and the long, detachable base struts make the platform really stable. Once assembled as per the enclosed instructions it feels pretty solid. My only gripe (but I knew this from other reviews before I bought it) is that the platform can only be fitted on the fourth bar from the bottom which only gives a platform height of 1.5m. I would have liked to be able to put the platform on the second from top bars to give a bit more height. I'm looking at getting a builders plank to go across the top / second from top bars to give me a little more height. I haven't used it as a ladder yet but I have assembled it that way and it looks like it will work fine. Great value.

This product will not work with standard stairs. The wide feet for stability are too wide for the stairs. Then when you actually use the platform without them so you can get them on the stairs, the only stable runs to use are third and fourth on both sides, which means you have to use them on the first or second stair level, no good for any further up of for height, you would get more height from a box!! Only good for use on ceiling work on a flat floor. There are much cheaper and easier options to do that than this waste of time and money
