Essential!
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a book to help my youngest (8) cope with a difficult time and bought this. It is perfect. Written in conjunction with an educational psychologist, I think this is a delightful and important tool for parents, as well as teachers and other professionals who work with children. Valid just as much for us grown ups too! Important concepts written in a simple, easy to understand manner with focused activities and lovely illustrations. Looking forward to working through it with my daughter and going to recommend to all my friends with children too. The type of book that can be referred back to time and again.

A gentle and really practical book.
This book is a great resource for children and their parents! I got a lot from it myself. We tried the suggested activities together and found ones that were most helpful for us. When my child is anxious it makes me anxious and I struggle to know how best to support him. I now feel comforted by knowing I have this book as a resource! It has really helped us talk about our feelings to help us understand them. It's beautifully illustrated too.

We love this book!
We’ve found the other books in this series so helpful and this one is a great addition to our collection. The gentle, supportive words along with the beautiful illustrations mean this has become a firm family favourite. My child engaged well with the activities which they’ve returned to again and again when they’ve felt worry building up. We really recommend this book!

Everyone could use some of this
Even adults could probably learn a thing or two in this, but it is perfectly produced for children. The art style is interesting, inventive and engaging. There is a lot of use of colour and emotion and great tips that are well suited for kids level of understanding. Kudos to the writers and illustrators !

Brilliant!
I so enjoyed this book. It’s got a really gentle touch and - assisted by the beautiful illustrations - it shows children clearly how they can help themselves to understand the feelings they have in their bodies, and then how to calm themselves. Highly recommend.

A useful book to help kids understand anxiety
A really helpful book by authors Catherine & Jenny Stephens who provide children with tools and tips to help manage through anxiety. The book also builds awareness of the types of emotions surrounding anxiety with some useful practical tips to manage through it. Great messages like getting creative, being in nature and practising brave behaviour. Beautiful watercolour illustrations by Hiruni Kariyawasam that brings the story to life in a very appealing way.

Very helpful.
I’m so pleased with this lovely book! My children (aged 5 and 7) were engaged and interested throughout and it opened up helpful conversation about how to cope with the worries that come up for them day to day.

Tell me your feelings.
I have experience dealing with fear, anxiety, and endless worries with children. Issues of their previous lives became part of the core of their being. This book would have been an additional tool to evoke conversation and move their pain up and out instead of keeping it stuffed within. Your ideas for breathing, present moment awareness, mindfulness, and other practices are also instrumental for those struggling with grief. Whether you are nine or ninety, we are all dealing with our stuff. Everyone has it; some of us have developed tools and practices for letting go. This is a children's book I recommend to adults still struggling with anxiety and worry. Jenny, Catherine, and Hiruni have created a simple masterpiece for children to address their feelings and experience freedom from their thoughts and fears. Janet Gallagher

Excellent book for children and adults to handle anxiety
The book is meant for children, but the author has provided wonderful and practical ways to handle worries. These can be used by adults too. Especially enjoyed reading about the ‘worry jar’ and the five senses. Excellent book for both adults and children and beautiful illustrations too.

Great advice - even for me!
A sweet and gentle book to ease your kids through their worries - I have even adopted some techniques for myself! I have to admit I’ve struggled sometimes with my son who doesn’t always express his worries verbally (while I know they are there!). This book has a range tips and tricks to deal with worries which are simple and well-explained, so they can be read together or by a child alone. As with all the books in the series, this is beautifully illustrated with uplifting images that complement the messages. Keep them coming!

Empower your child to handle anxiety
This is a great book that can really help a child learn to deal with worry and anxiety. It had lots of ideas on different things to try to make them feel better. But the part I really liked was how, in the end, there was a list of all the ideas, and then asked which they liked the best. To me, that felt so empowering for the child, that they were asked to make a choice for themselves. I highly recommend this for any child to teach them ways to cope.
