VERDUGO GIFT Moroccan Hanging Star Lantern

I paired this beautiful light with  Magicnight Battery Operated Powered Led String Starry Light Copper Wire Decorative Lights 30 Leds Warm White 10ft  And it looks amazing. I also used Amazon Basic Rechargeable AA batteries with the light so reduce the battery waste. I think the part that I like best is that I can move the whole thing pretty easily if I decide to go in the backyard ot I could even bring this to a music festival and use it as a very pretty camping light. Pairing this with a battery pack operated light was probably the best decision with this one.

I had my eye on this for over a year, maybe even 2 years, and finally decided to get it! So glad I did! It came securely packaged and the item was in perfect condition. The metal is sturdy and so is the glass. I used a metallic gold paint pen to go over all the metal and then I added some remote controlled battery operated fairy lights inside. It's beautiful! I originally got this to hang over the Christmas tree this year as a topper, which I will still do, but ever since I got it all put together, I put it over a door frame in the foyer leading into the hall and use it every night! It looks great!

I absolutely love this lantern! I was looking for a Moroccan style hanging star lantern to hang under my covered porch. The pre-wired lanterns were incredibly expensive and I thought they may be overkill for my porch. I only wanted something that would put off a dim light- enough to see what you are doing, but not so much that it would completely light an entire room or blind you when looking at it. When I ordered this lantern, I was hopeful that I would be able to modify it to fit a small nightlight on a cord (4 watt C7 bulb). Amazon has these cords available in brown for about 5 or 6 bucks.The lantern was shipped and delivered on time and arrived very well packaged- The product box was packaged inside an Amazon box. Inside the package box, there was styrofoam protecting every glass pane and not a single glass pane was cracked, broken or misplaced. In other words, the lantern arrived in perfect condition. There is a little metal door that swings open on a hinge. This is where you would insert your tealight candle. There is a metal candle holder that hangs inside the lantern to hold the candle securely. I removed this hanger. I then bent back the metal tabs that hold one of the top glass panes. I removed the glass pane completely and threaded through my nightlight cord. After the cord was in place, I replaced the glass pane and carefully bent the tabs back into place, taking care to place the glass slightly lower so the top triangle portion would have enough space for the cord, but no so tight it would damage the cord. I then hung the star from a secure hook on my ceiling and plugged the light into a timer. PERFECT! The light comes on each night and puts off just enough light to dimly light the sitting area of my porch. It is totally protected from the elements, so I cannot review as to how it would hold up truly outdoors. Yes, some bugs fly into the little holes... but not that many... and it is very easy to clean out thought the little hinged door. Since it is only a 4 watt bulb I do not have to worry about a fire hazard, either.Overall, I love this hanging star candle holder. It is beautiful lit or not lit. When lit it casts off a beautiful glow in a beautiful geometric pattern. With a candle, this would work beautifully. With a nightlight cord threaded through it, it works wonderfully. The price on Amazon simply cannot be beaten. I have seen lights like these in catalogs for well over 100 bucks. I receive so many compliments on this light and intend to keep it up year round.Please note- I use this in a covered outdoor space protected from the elements. I cannot comment as to how this would hold up if fully exposed to the elements.The item description in this listing is accurate and the picture is exact. I purchased this as an indoor room decoration and it is much bigger than expected! Was pleased at size and heft of this piece-- very substantial. Quality appears to be pretty good, no broken or bent pieces. One side of the star has hinges that allows it to fold outward and gives access to the inside where there is a small metal platform on a hook that you hang from another hook and this then supports a small tealight sized candle. This could probably be used on a covered porch, but I wouldn't want to expose it to rain or temperature extremes. Product page could have included more photos to highlight the size and features. Overall, pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this lantern to use as a night light for my son's room, since he is in a phase where the traditional plug-in nightlights aren't bright enough. This lantern was perfect! I purchased single socket with a 15' cord, and was able to carefully remove the tab holding in one of the glass panels to feed the light socket through, and then replace the glass panel. There is just barely enough space between the top of the glass panel and the frame of the lantern to fit the electrical cord through. Added an LED string light replacement bulb, and a chain to hang the lantern from, and its beautiful! Now I want one in my own room!

I love this lantern. It's pretty heavy. I would say it's about a medium sized one, I've seen some that are larger. But it's beautiful. I've purchased this same one before and ended up giving it to my roommate when iwnas moving because I didn't want to worry about it breaking and I was running out of room. Nice to have it back.

I like it a lot. I have two of them hanging on my balcony. It arrived in one piece because the packing was excellent. The only problem I had was figuring out how to get inside it. That’s the reason I only gave it 4 stars. It should come with instructions on how to open it.

This is a well-made, sturdy, attractive star. It has a little hanger inside for tea-light size candles. I took the hanger out and just rested an LED votive candle inside. I'm very happy with the quality of this star, especially for the low price.
