NIGHT cooperated with Korean Noble company and developed an ocarina made by plastic of high precision. NIGHT cooperated with Korean Noble company and developed an ocarina made by plastic of high precision. Standard pitch is 440Hz but this item is 442Hz so it is more easy to do ensemble with another brand ocarinas. small hole is located in middle finger area. it is easier to play low note. this is rubber finish. By Ocarina player: Cris Gale / Texas USA They are all wonderful, and I am very happy to have them. The N/N plastic is definitely the best plastic ocarina I have ever tried.

Quality item but instructions in Chinese or Japanese or some such, so buy a book too
I had earlier bought a cheap plastic ocarina from Amazon for about £10 on the assumption that precision plastic manufacturing was nailed decades ago (the plastic recorders we had in school when I was a lad were perfect), but I was wrong - that one was rubbish so I sent it back and bought the Noble Night instead, which I had encountered in a review by David Erick Ramos (an Ocarina specialist) on Youtube. The Noble is a quality product, and has an interesting finish in that the outside is ever so slightly soft and grippy, which is good for holding. I was surprised and a little disappointed to find that there was no English either on the box or the finger chart. Thankfully I had also purchased the book "Ocarina method" by Hal Leonard, which is good and certainly more than compensates for any lack of readable information with the product itself.I'm enjoying learning to play. Getting an accurate tone is more challenging than with a recorder but unlike the previous ocarina that I returned, it is clear to me that this is down to my method this time; no amount of method could have persuaded the cheap one to play in tune - it was just way off.

Overpriced
Overpriced for what it is. Very difficult to learn and wouldn’t recommend to people with big hands

No doubt good, but.......
I don't much like black as a colour so I chose the ivory version, advertised as having a rubber texture. Alas, no. The surface was too slippery for my ancient hands so I had to return it. I'm now pondering the black version, if I'm convinced that I shall be able to grip it.

Can't hit the high notes
A few other people have said it already, but using the ivory version you are unable to high a lot of high notes, it's just air. I don't know whether it's a fault or not but you literally have to blow as hard as you can into it to reach the note, by which time the tone is deafening. Do yourself a favour if you are starting out, pay a little more and get one from a German website (ceramic)

Impressive plastic ocarina
I have no complaints about this simple and good value 12 hole ocarina which is one of the best in its class. I now have an ocarina to take on my travels.

Lovely Ocarina
I bought this as a present for my husband as he's been wanting an Ocarina for a couple of years. It feels nice to hold, the grippy texture means it doesn't slip out your hands when they get sweaty. It's got a very nice sound to it and all the notes are playable when you use the proper technique. It's been a great activity for him in lockdown, though I often send him to a different room as it can be quite loud. All in all, he was very happy with the Ocarina
