Comprehensive, kid-friendly book about the female reproductive tract
My wife read this book with our 6-year-old daughter, who has constantly been asking us about how babies grow in the body. This book did a wonderful job of explaining that babies are formed from a zygote, which then implants into the uterus, where the baby grows. Her favorite page in the book was the page showing the zygote’s development from day 1 to week 40. This book was truly comprehensive without being overly detailed. It covers how the female reproductive tract works, anatomy of the tract, diseases that can occur, and diagnostics techniques (such as ultrasound). My entire family learned a lot from reading this book, and now my daughter understands that babies grow in the uterus (not stomach)! It was the perfect tool to introduce these topics to her in a PG/kid-friendly way.

Comprehensive book perfect for kids to learn about female development
This book truly exceeded my expectations! It is thorough and comprehensive, discussing topics from how the menstrual cycle works to how a zygote is formed and develops into a baby. Other topics covered include C-sections, ectopic pregnancies, and conditions that women can have (e.g. pre-eclampsia, cervical cancer, endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOS). The illustrations and language are kid-friendly, and the book does a wonderful job of approaching these topics in a simple way while also using proper medical terminology. I would highly recommend this ObGyn for Kids book for families with children who have questions about female development.

Great Book for Children!
I purchased this for a friend who is an OB/GYN and recently had a child and they absolutely loved it! With cute, detailed pictures and easy-to-understand explanations, this book is all about showing children the basics of the female reproductive system. Absolutely a great series to start exposing children to the medical field early. Can't wait to purchase more :)

Great book!
I think this book would have been so great to have when I was a girl! I really didn’t know much and this book is so educational regarding girls’ changing bodies and how important it is to keep our reproductive systems healthy.

Great Introduction!
We have a family member who is pregnant with her first child and have been fielding a lot of questions on how babies are made. This book has been totally awesome in starting the conversation in an age appropriate way (almost 4 years old). I will be recommending it to my friends. A few family members who are in medicine read it aloud to my child and loved the way it was written and the content discussed.

Kids can read about OB/GYN topics and spur discussion
The media could not be loaded. I am a board certified OBGYN. This was gifted to me by one of the midwives in my practice. The video is of my 6-year-old reading the book and trying to practice the word menstruation. She often tries to read my journals and struggles through the words, but this book was much easier. I love that she can learn about what I'm doing every day and we can talk about some of the hard words and what they mean. Even my conservative husband was okay with the book. It's basic enough that I can see it being on a level that patients can understand and it's fairly accurate. I plan to purchase other books in the series to learn about other specialties within medicine.

Another book in an awesome series! You need this book!
I'm so glad a book like this exists for kids! This book is a great framework to the reproductive system in an understandable yet factual and engaging way. The illustrations are vibrant and make the book very fun. Too many kids (especially girls) have no idea about this aspect of their body until puberty and it shouldn't be that way! This book would be an amazing gift to a child expecting a new sibling or one interested in the human body or a future medical career!
