Body Armor 4x4 JK-19531 Black - Steel Front Winch Bumper for 2007-2013 Jeep JK

I shopped carefully for a new bumper. There are many choices to make regarding material, design and vendor. After making the final cut, I was concerned about some products not drilled accurately. I had no problems with this bumper. Follow the directions, and do not tighten all bolts until all are aligned correctly. If you bought a skid plate, put it on after installing the bumper. If you want to drill for wiring or light installation, do that before installing the bumper. The bull bar was not positioned well, and one of the four bolts to hold it was too close to a weld. I ground down the weld, and skipped using a washer. It was a minor problem, and I am not worried about the bull bar staying on the bumper. The black textured paint finish is excellent.

The workmanship on this bumper looks to be top notch. This bumper has a built-in winch plate, 4 light tabs and is designed to allow steeper approach angles. I had this installed by a truck shop and I love the finish on it, especially when compared to the OEM bumper. My Jeep Wrangler is a 2013 Sport and this bumper bolted right in place without any drilling or any other kind of alterations. Body Armor has outstanding pricing on their products, all of which seem to be very good quality. There is one thing I should probably mention and that is that there is about a 2" gap between the bumper and the body. Not a big deal, still looks great. Highly recommended!

Probably took 1.5 hours from removal to bumper install. Impressed with thickness of material and paint job. At least 4 mounting locations for lights with the added hoop and holes for mounting the old school CJ tow hooks. I have not had a bumper with a bolt on hoop, but if you were worried about it, you can weld it on. Its pretty sturdy as a bolt on, though. I would have preferred that there were factory fog light holes cut into it, and until I can figure out a place to mount them, they are disconnected. Probably would have been easier with some help in lining out the holes and bolting it up, but I installed this bumper by myself. I ended up ordering the rear bumper and swing out carrier with this purchase and will review once installed.

The bumper was exactly what I was expecting. Although I could not get all of the holes for the bolts to line up properly which I think was due to the welds and too short of bolts. It was a struggle getting it installed but overall is great for the price. A simple bumper that can have many add-on's for that tough off-road look.

This bumper looks good, but the Chinese manufacturers aren't doing any quality control. The mounting holes for the frame mounts aren't quite in the right places and the mounting holes for the winch are too close to the fairlead mounting tabs for you to put the winch on without having to expand the holes into a long oval towards the rear of the bumper. What obviously happened when you look at it is that the fairlead mounting tabs are welded too close to the holes for the winch. This thing looks good, but unless you are willing to cut out pieces of metal about the size of a dime to put your winch on you need to look elsewhere. Body Armor's quality is not ready for prime time folks and I dropped a decent chunk of money (to me) on this thing. The really sucky part is that I owned the bumper for 2 months before I bought the winch and discovered the issue so I can't send the blasted thing back.  Body Armor JK-19531 Sheet Metal Design Front Bumper for Jeep JK

Installed on a 2008 Jeep Wrangler JK.Had a few issues with fitment due to the holes on the factory mounts not lining up exactly but by leaving them loose (2-3 threads) you can get all of the bolts in and lined up. Bumper is heavy duty and has great mounting points for winches. I utilized a SmittyBilt XRC 10K for my winch. Built in winch plate is great and has not let me down in some nasty situations. 4 different light mounting points are drilled and clean. Recommend the skid plate as well but overall great product.

I like the Body Armor Products a lot and the end results have been good, but damage in shipping and more important installation hassles have made them far from perfect. Would probably buy again, but would be better prepared for additional drilling and sloppy fit to add to the hassle when mounting.

This bumper was fairly easy to install. If you have a 2009-2011 JK you will have to drill the driver side bumper studs out some to make it fit. Lots of light mounting points. Easily took the Smittybilt 8k winch. This bumper has a very tough finish on it! I used a jack in the center of it, and tie down straps to hold it to the front of the jeep while installing it. I put mine on a 2009 Rubicon.
