Love the adjustability, works for me and my 91 year old mother in law
I ordered this 2 pack for myself and for my Mother in law to keep her strength up in her hands. I like the fact the when you turn the dial it makes it harder or easier depending on how you turn it. Have been using daily and notice a huge improvement.

Decent product
Works as described. Easy tension adjustment. My only complaint is the length of the handles. I have average size hands and cant get all four fingers on the handle. Must have been designed for small hands.

Handy, portable exercise tool for grip and forearms.
This is a nice set of grip / hand / arm strength trainers. I spend a good bit of time working out, and came to realize none of the machines focuses specifically on the hand and forearm. These things do. As you can tell from the listing pictures it works much like squeezing the trigger on a spray bottle, but on a larger scale. They are made of a pretty sturdy feeling plastic, and have rubber on the front (fingers) and back (palm) of the grips; that helps to keep it from being slick. The clever part is that the resistance -- and therefore the workout -- is adjustable; according to the listing it's from 5-60kg (or 11-132 pounds). That adjustment is made by turning a knob at the front of the device that lengthens or retracts the spring at the top. The higher the adjustment, the longer the squeeze travel is, resulting in a higher effort. The side has hash marks indicating the 5-60kg range so you have an idea what resistance neighborhood you're working in. I have no way of validating the actual weight equivalents, but adjusted all the way out to the max (60kg) it definitely makes it a harder squeeze that really works the hand and forearms. And, I found if you turn your hand around with four fingers on the back of the trainer and the thumb on the trigger, it isolates the thumb and gives it a bit more of a workout than if done conventionally.Because it comes with two you can keep one in the car or by the desk and get in a little workout anytime you have a few minutes.

Does NOT provide 132 lbs resistance - tested & too plastic-y
I could immediately tell these were not providing 132 lbs of resistance. I measured my right hand grip strength using my dynamometer & = 127 (in real-time at that moment), and then could easily rep out 132 lbs reps over and over completely closing the hand. So this does NOT provide advertised resistance. Also, this plastic is pretty weak. I'm concerned it'll break over time.

Great to have arround to Occupy yourself while relaxing
These are nice to have around with the added benefit of giving some exercise and keeping you occupied. I gave these hand exercises four stars instead of five because of a few items where they might be lacking depending upon your hand size and the amount of use these get. (1) When I grip these my little finger is off of the hand grip, I consider my hand normal to slightly large however it means that generally my pinky finger is not getting the benefit of exercise or conditioning (2) While adjustable as to resistance I dont know that the scale is accurate and so matching the two units is slightly difficult and the scale looks as if it will wear off with a little use. The main reason for the four stars is really the length of the grips which I felt should have been a little longer for an optimal feel in your hand. The front grip which your fingers go across is about 2.25" and the grip that rests in your palm is slightly shy of 3.5" so you might want to measure the width of your fingers if you have a large hand before ordering. Otherwise the units have performed well over the hour of use in total that I have placed on these
