... just received 2 of these and so far so good. They have a nice look to them
So I just received 2 of these and so far so good. They have a nice look to them, plenty of led's to indicate their functionality (power on, input, and output voltage modes, etc.), and the voltage display reads well! I have tested the two I received with a DMM and the display is quite accurate (it is accurate to .1 v so if you have 7.65v actual it rounds up to 7.7v). The potentiometer takes a few turns to adjust, but once the voltage begins to move it moves quickly. I have yet to try out the .01v fine adjustment process using the buttons as it is not that critical for my application... so no comment there. All in all this is one of the best $6-7 (each) I have spent on amazon,--works as promised and they look neat. Time will tell the story of reliability, but for now I think these are just awesome!

Put the heatsink on it and don't overdrive it for long periods.
Bought three of these so far I like them but one of them I was pushing it a little hard and I have the heat sink solid on the transistor but the diode the little square rectangular black diode on the output side just went poof burn to Ash when I was over driving it a little bit maybe but we'll replace it and see how it goes still have two that are working flawlessly. I wouldn't recommend running these at 5 amps I'm not sure I even quite got that pretty close though.

Great little converter!
I am using this to step down a 24v supply to 12v to run some fans (hotend and part cooling fans as well as a fan for the buck converter and the 3D printer driver board). Very stable. The only issue I have is that the LED display stopped working after being in service for a while. I can't see any damage to the board and the output is still rock steady at 12.03 volts (according to my trusty voltmeter). So, it's still functional, just no display - bummer :-(

Didn’t work as expected.
The good stuff:1- great price 2- good size 3-easy to useThe bad stuff:1- doesn’t work as claimed 2- what’s the point of having all the good stuff if doesn’t give what you want?...At first I thought I was doing something wrong but then I plugged my multimeter on and confirmed that it doesn’t work.My issue was when I had a 5v input it didn’t get boosted to what I wanted. Making this product useless for me. In the other hand if this had work I would give it a 5+ stars. The picture is proof of my experiment.

Received exactly what was described by the seller. Unit ...
Update: Seller responded without hesitation and fixed the issue promptly. Will gladly purchase the same unit again knowing that the seller stands behind their product. If i could give more then 5 stars I gladly would. Update 3/17/18 - ive had to bump down to 3 stars. I went to connect power today only to bevwelcome by a flash and smoke. Seems a smsll peice on the board failed for sime reason. This happened hooking to a 12v SLA battery. Received exactly what was described by the seller. Unit arrived packaged well and functions as it should. So far with hours of use using voltage packs from 12v to 48v the unit has had no problem maintaining a solid 11.1v output I have it set to. Well gladly purchase again for future projects.

For testing this module which as it describes is updated from LM2596 and better than it
This module worked well to regulate voltage from a car battery 13.5v down to a set of 12v LEDs that I use for emergency lighting. Besides, this can be used as a dimmer on the same lights. I set it on 9.5v DC output and it works quite well. For testing this module which as it describes is updated from LM2596 and better than it. So I tested it from 36v down to 24v, the efficiency can really make it up to 95.5% and tested it down to 12v, the current can make it to 4A in normal. So every test seems really successful as promised so far.

Buy it for the product, stay for the customer service!
Completely satisfied, both with the product and the customer service!I previously ordered one, and thought it was faulty - they promptly sent me a replacement. The "fault" was mine - there was not an info sheet with the product, but when I checked the Amazon site, there was the info. What I didn't understand, was how far the potentiometer had to be turned to start adjusting the output. Once I went far enough, the results were spot on. Recommended for small DC applications!

Simple and intuitive
Simple and easy to use. Screw adjusts the output voltage. The green led light indicates power on. The red led lights on either side indicate wether the voltage display is for the input or output which is changed by the click of the button. The other button toggles the display on and off. Very simple and intuitive design.
