It's a very simple device. Hooks into the air vent and is secured tightly by a quarter turn of a ring. It's really small compared to other phone holders which is great. It also operates very easily. Just put the phone on the little ledge at the bottom and gently press the side panels in. To release, just push a little button in the back. I have a large phone with acaaec with a cover and it fits in fine. And it is remarkably sturdy. My phone doesn't move and has never fallen.One note - I have a Toyota Camry, and as others have written, the hook is too short to connect the device to the center vent, which for some reason has much wider flaps than the vent on the side. So I had to connect it to the vent on the side, between the steering wheel and the driver side door.

Using this in my car to replace an electronic one that went broke. Simple and gets the job done and nothing here to break.

I liked this product because it held my iPhone even when it was in a protective Otter Box protective case, and did not slip down because of the weight. It made it easy to view while driving, and you could also attach a power cord to the phone. The one slightly negative thing was the bar that slides over your vent slot was almost too short for if you have a wider vent, but it did fit on most after a couple minutes trying to slide and hook it on. All in all, was worth the investment.

I have a case with a cover so I love this holder. I just fold back the cover and clamp it in place. So easy to install I bought 2 more as gifts. Also while in use for gps you can plug in your charging cord. Love it and highly recommend.

My pontiac vibe has insanely huge vents, that both fold inward, and rotate 360°. The wieght of the phone itself prevents it from swinging from to the vent's delicate maneuverability. Also keeps the phone at a very nice distance for usability while driving without taking eyes off the road.

Ordered two, one for the wife and one for myself.I love mine and no problems at all, the wife had the pad on the right side melt off in the last heat storm we had, shes tried everything to glue it back on and nothing is sticking to the pad.Any help would greatly taken.

Bought me one and my husband liked it so much I bought him one. I own a Mazda and the weathertex cup holder just didn't place it in the right spot. This works fine for my car. I would recommend this for the price and so far the sturdiness. I have had it about 2 months.

Phone doesn't slip, the holder stays in place, and it can be angled well. Don't tighten it too tight (as plastic cracks), but it is at a great location for use.
