It's so cute!
I had no idea this thing was so tiny, it's freaking adorable! it's about the size of one of those little sweet oranges you buy for kids. I also like that the mount is super simple--one screw. The base is magnetic so the ball can swivel in any direction which is simple and thoughtful. Very good design.i was able to pair it with zero trouble, took seconds using HomeAssistant and ZwaveJS. It advertises that it can use s2 security (press button three times when including) but it didn't work for me. I think it might be something with my setup as I've had similar issues with smoke detectors doing the same thing.Detection is swift and reasonably sensitive. The default detection is five minutes which you really should change to like 10 seconds or something, not sure why it's so long. Guessing bad reviews are because of this odd default.I use mine to control a pair of ceiling fans on my porch. It's mounted between the fans and I originally worried that the movement of the fans themselves would have triggered the sensor, but they don't. Any person walking in will set them off without issue. Have not yet tuned for pets, but I'm not super concerned as they don't go outside without me.The only thing that would have made this device a slam dunk would have been to include a temperature sensor. Oh well, it is one of the least expensive detectors out there so I'm satisfied for the purchase price. Will probably add a few more.

We have 12 installed currently and all work well ... over 20 installed now
update: We have over 20 of these installed now. Battery life is still excellent. We set the timeout to 10 minutes for all the battery operated sensors. They are tiny, easy to install, and work consistently better then the other brands. Zooz has weird settings that have to be changed to set them up so they don't eat batteries. Aeotec has sensitivity issues and don't live up to their wild claims. We have 2 in the garage working in tandem to cover the entire area and several that are powered and act as relays for other devices. Response time is quick. The funny thing is, I am constantly finding new places to install these. Like one in the shower area to automatically turn on the fan. We put one in the master bedroom that operates after sunrise to sunset, and via a whole home "morning mode", "day mode", "evening mode". (This sounds complicated but it was set up slowly over time and was actually fairly easy) I expect to pass 30 of these installed just because they work so well and we keep finding uses for them.original review:They have all been installed going on 1 year and the batteries (on 5 of them) are still going with the default settings. The other 7 are connected to power directly and have shorter timeouts for turning on lights. They respond quickly, usually less then a second with the Homeseer software that we have installed on a dedicated computer. We had one sensor where the sensitivity was extremely high and appeared to constantly detect motion (even when there was no motion), we turned the sensitivity down considerably and now it works just like the others (in fact I can't even remember which one it is now). They were all easily paired, easy to setup (except that one which we almost returned) and they all have good sensitivity for motion detection. We put two in the garage and have them working in tandem to keep the garage lights on whenever someone is in the room. For the garage (which are both plugged into power) we set the motion sensor timeout to 3 minutes, and the light turn off time to 10 minutes and have been very happy with the results. We also have them setup in the stair wells, in all the bathrooms, all the storage closets and are looking to add more in other rooms.I like the size, they are small, easy to place and I really like being able to plug them into USB power. So 5 stars.

Issues with Smartthings.
Description says it works with Smartthings but I've had zwave devices for 12 years and I couldn't get it to connect as anything other than a contact closure device. All the links in home seer's site for getting it to be correctly recognized by Smartthings were broken mid January 2019. Returning for a Samsung motion sensor.

Add the external power supply!
You need to add the external power source because batteries last only one week in traffic areas.

Works, but not easy to setup
Right off the bat, this product does NOT work with Wink Hubs (gen 1 or 2). You can pair it, but Wink recognizes it as a door sensor, not a motion sensor, so you'll only get "open" or "closed" (although mine never even changed from "open".If you have a SmartThings hub, this will work, but with some tinkering. You need to go to a website and follow the instructions to be able to use this as a motion detector and not a useless door sensor like with a Wink. I can't post links in the review, but just google "181-st-handler-ms100" and click the first result. If you're looking for an easy to use Z Wave motion sensor, keep looking, this isn't for you.

Easy to connect
Easy to connect, easy to change settings. The wall mount was super easy, you just peel off the plastic and stick it wherever you want. The sensor itself is a sphere that attaches magnetically to the wall mount. It takes about a full second or o recognize motion (This was measured by the blue light that blinks on the sensor, not the including the delay for the hub to turn the lights on)The only problem I had with it is that it wasn't sensitive enough for me on the lower time settings. When I set it to timeout after 30 seconds it would not continuously detect motion even with a moderate amount of movement. Changing the value to 1 minute 30 seconds worked much better, as it had a longer chance to detect me.

So far so good.
I have had this running for a couple months in an un heated space. So far it woks without issue. I cannot comment on battery life yet but will update when I see how the first set of batteries go

Unable to get sensor to detect motion
I was able to program and communicate with the sensor from my Zwave controller (Home Assistant) but the sensor will then go to sleep and never wake up to report motion.
