Acer EK241Y H 23.8-inch Monitor - VA Panel, 1920 x 1080, 5ms, 100Hz, FreeSync, HDMI, VGA

I've had an Acer P.C. for more years than I can remember, probably 10+And, in spite of the fact that I am unable to update it to Windows 11, it's in really good condition and functioning perfectly, so I see no need to change it, just because Microsoft want to squeeze some more money out of me.However, about a week before Xmas/2024, the monitor which came with the P.C. started "playing up."It wouldn't turn on when I booted the P.C. up, in the morning. Fortunately, I found a "workaround," which involved unplugging it, at the back, plugging it back in and then, occasionally, it seemed to work OK.I wasn't immediately worried, as my P.C. is also paired with my T.V. Screen, so I was able to get by.However, as the weeks have gone by, this became more and more inconvenient and, eventually, the monitor screen stopped working altogether.Eliminating the possibility (as the T.V. (monitor) was still working) that it wasn't an issue with the VGA Lead, or power source, I decided to go for a replacement monitor.I ordered this monitor, after some research and although I don't suppose it matters, I was pleased to find another Acer monitor, which I had delivered to my local Post Office, as obviously, it would've been too big to fit into my local Amazon Monitor, which I usually use for deliveries, as the Amazon Driver are prone (on occasions) to leaving parcels outside of my flat, in the hallway!It arrived within 24 hours and I was able to drop down there, pick it up and be home within 5 minutes, very convenient.It was well packaged and protected and surprisingly lightweight, compared to my older monitor.Very easy to set up. Everything, the monitor and the 2 part base, (which is bigger and considerably more solid than the base on my older model) just clicked into place.Luckily, I already had a VGA lead from the old monitor, as my P.C. only has one HDMI output, the lead from which, goes into my T.V.Had a slight issue on "start up," as I was faced with a "blank screen," on the monitor and had to remember to "duplicate" the T.V. Screen with the monitor, in the Windows Settings and then, everything worked perfectly.It's the same size as my old monitor, but there seems, due to much reduced bezels, to be more Screen "real estate."The picture is very clear and sharp, although I may, when time allows, adjust the brightness/contrast etc, to bring it more in line with what I can see on my T.V. Screen.Just one, minor "issue," I would've liked the option to connect to the P.C. via USB, as I find, the VGA connection very "clunky," these days.But, all in all, I am very pleased, thus far. It appears to be an excellent replacement monitor and was very reasonably priced, at £70, on offer!As things stand, I can thoroughly recommend this monitor.

A very nice monitor, picture is great, especially for the price,A compliant I have is the stand, it leans forward with no way of adjusting it, I cant work out why it would be like that, I thought I could get used to it but I cant, so I have bought a separate monitor arm for it so I can get rid of the stand and have it sitting properly,so the Monitor itself is great and well worth it, if you can get used to the forward lean, or happy to invest in a separate stand for it, then I would recommend this monitor.UPDATE: looking more closely, the monitor stand DOES have a moveable component allowing adjustment to the viewing angle, it's on the main bit of the stand that attached to the monitor.

Seriously impressive stuff coming from ACER. The price point this is at is absolutely astounding especially considering the response time for a VA monitor.For me the setup was insanely easy; no screw and none of those pull tab thingies just standard physics and jigsaw like.Can say with joy that the colour is quite accurate, and the i/o is decent (missing DP however but isn't a problem if you have more recent HDMI.)Working completely fine after 2 months of use, the bezels are very pretty with no intrusion. Stand is also really nice. 9.5/10 would reccomend!

I use this to watch video on my laptop. It is also useful as an additional monitor with Chromebook. There is no speakers (which is what I wanted) and it was terrific value. The only downside is that I cannot connect it directly to a USB C output from an iPad or iPhone (15 or 16). However, I have the connector so it is not the end of the world for me. As I write this, I realise this monitor could be very useful if I use it with my iPad and a keyboard. Great monitor at a good price.

Needed another monitor for work and this one is great value. Screen is bright and clear and good value.
