I use this gochu for homemade kimchee, and this brand is without a doubt some of the best available. I've used a few of the cheaper, China-grown brands and they just don't come anywhere near this quality. Beautiful color and authentic flavor - keeps well in the freezer.

Absolutley 100% satisfied. I made 김치( kimchi) , spicy bulgogi , and more! Very flavorful. It has that spicy, sweet flavor, and clean after taste. Lovely red color, not too spicy (just right for my taste), but the price seemed just a bit high. Perhaps it is because this is actual Korean gochugara. I would buy again if I don’t find it cheaper in an Asian market.

The heat is just right for me. I was concern it might be too mild. Flavor is good too. It took a while to get a product from a county I trust. Some countries have notoriously lax purity control. Price is fine.

These Chili Flakes taste and look amazing in our homemade kimchi. Prior to purchasing this product, I have read through various reviews and decided on this one. Now I can also vouch for it! Update 4/10/2020: Second try and incredible!!

Pricey ... but adds so much depth and the perfect amount of heat to my vegetarian kimchi! I searched for a comparable chili powder in asian food stores and online. Ended up choosing this one as was recommended and I am glad I did.

I love the stuff. There are brands of this on here and at even Korean grocery stores that are actually grown in China with lots of chemicals… So they are not good for making kimchi because the chemicals in the pepper flakes kill off the bacteria that help the kimchi ferment. This stuff doesn’t use any of those chemicals and so the kimchi always ferments really well and tastes amazing. Just my two cents.
