Wrangler Riggs Workwear Men's Ripstop Carpenter Jean

Strong Pants
I've never owned a pair of Riggs before and I really like them. I was originally going to get the Ranger version but Carpenter were 25% off so I started here, but I wonder if it was worth it since I use cargo pockets often. The material is a bit stiff but it feels very strong. The back pockets are fully lined with Cordura, so no lip to hook onto wallets and full pocket durability. Cordura is just a woven nylon for heavy use, like a rough canvas. The brown leather tape measure clip is only a lip on the edge, not full double sided leather, with the backside being white pocket liner made from ripstop cotton. The front pockets are nice and deep, the back pockets are large enough, the front utility pocket is big but too tight, the tool pocket opening is too small for the hand so don't place screw bits or whatever in the pocket, and the hammer loop is normal. The pants are on the baggy side but the waist is a tight fit, maybe too tight but I can fit without a belt. I'm more of a 31" than 30" but I usually buy 30" as it tends to fit better than 32" do, so my size seems to vary by pant design. The button slot wasn't fully cut on my pants, but the button is now easier to get in and out now that I sliced the hole longer towards where the stitching is. The very bottom joint between the legs has an additional cut section in the design to prevent split tearing, similar to martial arts pants. Loden color is a dark subdued green color, which I thought would be like a pine green but it almost looks dark gray because the hue is so subtle, while the stitching is more of a pine green. Dark gray buttons and brown Cordura and leather go with the Loden green to create a nice mountain woods color palette. All of the stitching on the pants are very durable feeling, extra strong build. The main feature of the pants is the ripstop cotton fabric material itself, and the pants as a whole feel incredibly strong and durable. These pants feel like they will last a long time, but I'll have to wait and see as some reviews claim their pants tore quickly. Despite being made from a stiff and strong material, they feel very comfortable and natural on the skin. Machine wash cold with like colors, only non-chlorine bleach when needed, tumble dry low or line dry. I would avoid fabric softener to retain the strength but dryer sheets are probably fine. For $45.50, I think you're getting good quality pants but I would pay a few dollars more for the Ranger pants which come with cargo pockets and double knee material. My Carpenter pants were 25% off which made the price $33.90, and then I had a $10 off coupon for Amazon through some purchase or whatever, so for me these were more like half-off and paid with a birthday gift card. Now that I own a pair of Riggs Workwear, I can see paying in full for pants like these as I thought the price didn't look worth it at first but I see that they have much higher build quality and material than typical pants. All I can do now is just wait and see how well they truly hold up when taken outdoors.

Great fit
Durable and am sure they will be long lasting as well! The denim is thick and they have a great heavy duty feel as well.

Good quality
These run a little larger because of the stretch material but very comfortable

Great jeans
These jeans fit exact, if you want a looser fit on the waist order a size up but I rec getting true size of your waist, they are loose fit on the legs and give great movement, having the extra pockets on the side for a knife or writing material comes in handy. They are slightly longer than most jeans so if you want a jeans that fit down towards the ankel than get a shorter lenght. These are strong and will hold up over the years. If your into dungeeres or looking for a work jean than these will be perfect for any man on the job or just at home projects.

Love the material, but the waist is uncomfortable.
I like the way they look (straight leg and fit nicely over a work boot) and the material is heavy duty ripstop like the Ranger pants. I also like that they don’t have as many pockets as the Ranger pants so they’re not as bulky. The material inside the pockets is OK, but I would have preferred ripstop all the way. The issue I have with these pants is I typically wear a 32” waist, but these are just a touch smug (I could get away with it if I didn’t tuck in my T-shirt); however, what I can’t get beyond is the high waist, which makes it uncomfortable to bend over. I’m a twig with a tight stomach and the high waist digs into me every time a crouch or bend over. I’ll be returning them. Too bad because I liked the fewer pockets and how they fit below the waist.

Ideal for work pants
These have enough room in the legs to allow bending without binding. And they seem to be made out of fairly rugged denim. The only thing I didn’t care for was the loop to hang a tool. I have a tool belt for that, and it seems like it might snag stuff. So I cut it off.

These are the closest I could fine although they are not jeans they have a tough ...
I wanted a pair of jeans in a khaki type color but they literally have not in any brand in a relaxed or looser fit. These are the closest I could fine although they are not jeans they have a tough material similar to Denim. Being already a wrangler fan as I own a few pair of their jeans in a relaxed fit which I really like because they are comfortable, they fit well, are durable, and priced right. So I was confident in ordering the wrangler brand although these were a little different material I didn't know what to expect. I got them and right away they seem like a very strong material kind of canvas like but softer. So they are a bit stiffer than what I expected but I'm hoping with wear and wash they will soften up. I am also hoping they are good resisting stains and dirt. One thing I noticed is the waste is cut smaller than other 36 inch Wrangler relaxed fit jeans or pants. So they are tight around the waist I don't even need a belt little too tight. But the rest of the fit is perfect nice room in the seat and thigh similar to a Wrangler relaxed jeans fit. Not too baggy or loose just a nice relaxed fit for someone with thick thighs and a big butt like me. I'm hoping the waste will stretch a little overtime otherwise I'm going to need to cut my waist down. The cell phone pocket on the left is way too small for today's sized smart phones. But the regular pockets are nice and big and deep and seem very strong. Let's see how they wear and hold up over time. I have high hopes.

Good product
These fit good. They are light but tough material. Since I bought for work, I found comfortable and roomy in the crotch area. I do alot of crouching and up and down ladders. Greay work pants.
