Not for keeping things dry or keeping the smell in.
These are NOT childproof caps! They do not hold a seal, either.They push down and turn but, with a minimum of force, can easily be turned off.The problem is with the cheap soft plastic. The pegs on the cap that should lock them into the main cylinder are much too short and soft. The cylinder itself is of a soft flexible plastic.I am sure they can comfortably transport marbles or other items that do not need an airtight or watertight seal.
