Works well, easy to see if bait is being take due to bite marks on the blocks.

We live in a barn conversion in farm country so there are always rodents about; we even had a brown rat which took up residence in the loft last November until caught by a trap. You can’t eliminate a rodent problem completely, because if they know food & warmth are available there will always be more who move in to replace the ones killed. Keeping the number down to a minimum should be the mission. We know rodents do eat this ‘Pest Expert Formula B’, because the bait boxes when checked regularly are empty. However, because the substance is not immediately fatal like a trap it’s hard to be certain that it’s killing them, as they go off to die elsewhere. But they do eat it, and the population seems reduced as we don’t see them outside or hear them scratching in the shed or the barn as we did before.

Blocks have centra holes for inserting string/wire to tie down so rats have to eat it rather than just carry it away. Damp proof. Essential product for my poultry house. Keep in mind kite will eat poisoned rats/mice.

Living in the countryside and with bird feeders in the garden, we are often visited by rats. Our dogs are usually the first to let us know they are around, getting quite frantic around the rat runs. I have found these blocks to be efficient in getting rid of them at the first signs of their arrival. It is important to keep them in a bait box which has rods inside which the bait is retained so the rodents have to nibble away at them rather than run off and consume elsewhere. This ensures other vulnerable species are at less risk. Once laid, the blocks are gradually gnawed and then it stops. The dogs also let us know they are gone as they lose interest around the runs. I have never found a dead rodent but whatever the outcome, we seem to be rat free after using these so I can only conclude they work well.

I am a repeat buyer for these as I have a smallholding and keep chickens. Unfortunately the chickens attract rats who like to help themselves to the chicken food. This stuff is amazing and deals with them effectively. I get no pleasure from having to do this but rats are a health hazard and will take baby chicks if left unchecked. They also continually chew things and cause damage. I can highly recommend this and will pop it down in bait boxes or directly down rat holes to prevent other species accessing it. My tip is to put it down and then leave it and do not replenish it for a few days or else you are just wasting them with the same rat repeatedly eating it. Makes it more efficient this way.
