Interesting vocals
Someone made reference to this group on Twitter recently and I had never heard of them. So I decided to purchase this compilation album and check them out. Only listened to it once since buying it - but I enjoyed it. The lead singer has a good voice.

Middle of the Road indeed
US Top 40 lovers might vaguely remember "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" a hit in Hawaii and some parts of Western states,a bigger hit worldwide. Middle of the Road was inbetween girl group pop and basic late 60's early 70's reminicent of so- called "Bubble Gum" , but more like the England studio bands with Tony Burrows heading groups like White Plains (My Baby Loves Love) Edison Lighthouse (Love Grow where My Rosemary Goes) First Class (Beach Baby) Pipkins (Gimme Dat Ding) but with a female lead singer mostly.Middle of the Road could be considered a fore-runner of ABBA. Thebeat is there, the harmonies ring ring, the production has the blast at the end.In the end, though,this is for only those who like a period of 70's rock, who lived, loved through it, and want to keep it alive!!!

I can't believe you had this CD.
Great songs. I looked for this CD simply out of curiosity because 'I knew' I would never find it. And, WOW! there it was. I heard this Scottish group when I was in Sweden (1970) and loved them, their sound and songs but no one in the US had heard of them so I moved on but never forgot. Thank you Amazon for having such an extensive collection. CD arrived fast, in great condition, and price was good. Finding this CD will make my summers at the beach more musically enjoyable for many years to come. Thank you again Amazon.

A really good cd and beautifully sung.
I've been after Middle of the Road songs for some time now and when I came across The Best Of Middle Of The Road, it was just what I wanted. I have to say that there are the old favourites and some I haven't heard of. But it's a super cd and Sally Carrs' voice is fantastic.The reproduction is very good despite some aficionados (yes I had to look up the spelling of that word) saying it wasn't quite up to scratch.Well, I think it's a great cd and would thoroughly recommend it to any Middle Of The Road fans and any budding fans.Go on, go and buy it.
