Fun in a tight corner or in the wide open - no hotspots in IR photography
The images created by this lens have a vintage look and feel that I like. It vignettes, it's kind of soft on the edges, of course, it's manual everything, why else would you buy this?Mechanically, it's very nice - all metal, except for the gears for video. The focus and aperture require firm pressure to move, but, not uncomfortably so. Set it up for hyperfocal shooting and you've got a great walk-around snapshooter - those rings aren't going to move on their own.I also use this in IR photography on a Sony A6000 modified for full spectrum, various filters - this lens produces no hotspots.
