I confirm these views are my own and they have not been influenced by the discount that I received in any way.When this review was written on 25 July 2016, the price for this item was £20.99.The Firhealth Forehead Thermometer is a two-scan forehead or object temperatures measurement tool in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The manufacturer states that the thermometer has been clinically tested, is very accurate and auto shuts within 30seconds to preserve battery power.Once I removed the very easy to access battery compartment and removed the battery trigger, the thermometer instantly felt comfortable in my hand. It gripped very well. If I had sweaty hands, I would still find it difficult to drop it. You knew it was in your hand, which is how an object should feel. Secure.Then, it was playtime. I found that the thermometer responded very quickly to changing temperatures. I moved from my forehead, to a an external window, to a cold mug and so on. I had a real great time testing it with various objects and interspersed with my body temperatures. At times, the readings seemed instant. Very impressed.The Memory button responded well. Hold the button for about 5 seconds, then while still holding the button press once for M1, which is the access to the 20 Memory Recall, press again for M2 and you can adjust the Temperature Compensation Setting, and finally press for M3 and you can set a fever alarm. This really is a professional piece of equipment and can visualise a doctor or nurse using this at a Medical Centre, so it is more than capable for a home environment.There are many uses I discovered on my temperature expedition. How do you like your tea? Or your bath? They are guaranteed to come at the same temperature every time. I'm sure inventive users can find a hundred users for wanting to know a temperature. So click onto Object by pressing the M button briefly and you can change it from forehead to object in a flash. A very useful device.You can now be very accurate with someone's temperature while it climbs and when you call the emergency services you have solid figures at hand. .The Firhealth Forehead Thermometer is a really effective and well designed product that you will find is so easy to use and useful you will wonder however you managed without one.If you have children you really do need one of these.The non contact action is brilliant and allows you to easily read their temperature when they are asleep.(Now try doing that with the old in the mouth types).Similarly for older relatives. The action is swift easy and more importantly accurate.If you work in a nursery or care home this simple and reasonably priced thermometer is a time and trouble saver.You can easily switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The display is clear and easy to read and there is a really good function included too.By simply holding the M button in place for 5 seconds you can scroll through the options.YouJust pressF1 for 20 Memory Recall,F2 for Temperature compensation setting, andF3 for fever alarm setting.The stored temperatures could really come in useful if you have to phone the Doctor or emergency services.There is a choice of white or grey.The unit is easily cleaned with a damp cloth and the suppliers have, unlike other and more expensive makes included a set of 2 AAA batteries so you are up and running in no time.If you do need to change the batteries eventually my advice is to always go for a good non leak type.Cheapo ones always leak and ruin your device.Note I was sent my thermometer by the suppliers.All they asked for was a fair review.Thanks for reading.

Think about when you have a poorly toddler who will not keep still to have their temperature taken when they are feeling poorly. They will not keep a thermometer in their mouth or even sit with a thermometer under their arms. This is where the brilliance of this forehead thermometer comes into play. Firstly press the measure power button and then you have to literally touch your child's (or adults) forehead for a second .... yes just one second, you will hear a beep (if the sound is not muted) and your reading is clearly displayed. There is also a backlight for your reading if you are a taking a temperature during the dark hours and don't want to disturb the person who's temp you are taking.The stored temperatures could really come in useful if you have to keep a record of your temperature especially if you are trying to get pregnant, or if you need to tell a doctor of a progressive rise or fall in temperature. 20 readings are recorded.The unit is easily cleaned with a wet wipe to keep it sterile. Included a set of 2 AAA batteries so you are up and running within seconds of taking it out of the box. Simply remove the pull out plastic tab. It comes in a velvet drawstring bag for storage.This thermometer was sent to me free of charge for a honest unbiased review. I think the product is beautifully made and an essential part of any households medicine cabinet. it takes next to no space and could potentially help save some-ones life.
