Custom Stereo Splitter CABLE

Speaker cable does need the sub to make it work, which is what they tell you in the description....so exactly as described.

Gone now are the days when I had to pull the cables out of the Minirig speakers to switch them off after switching off the sub-woofer. Now, using this dedicated cable, I can switch off the speakers using the sub-woofer on/off button. Just ensure that all 3 ends of the cable are inserted fully into their respective speakers, otherwise the speakers may work fine, but will not switch off with the sub-woofer. They are a firm fit and moderate force is required. This cable appears to be unique - I had searched the Web for an equivalent prior to this one being available and could not find any four pole cables that split a stereo signal into 2 x mono. The plugs are slim and the cable is very flexible allowing it to be coiled small enough to fit into the netting pocket in the lid of the sub-woofer case. It's too early yet to comment on durability (only owned for 1 week) but quality wise, it looks like it will last a long time if not abused. I have tried to establish the difference between pre-November 2013 speakers (as mine are) and post-November 2013 models. Why the cable will not work as designed if the speakers are mixed is a mystery. Judging from the pictures on Amazon, there do not appear to be any cosmetic changes to help differentiate between the models, but as November 2013 was only a few months ago this is no great problem. However, in future months or years, people thinking of buying this cable who have purchased their speakers at different times will have greater difficulty in remembering whether they were pre or post November 2013 models. Does anybody know what manufacturing changes took place around this time? My 'old' style ones work exceedingly well and, if it ain't broke.......... Incidentally, if you bought one or both of your speakers during November 2013, I guess it's pretty much pot luck whether they both switch off or not! All in all, well worth the outlay for the convenience alone. The sound is impressive with noticeable separation of the right and left channels. Buy the cable, but only if you are able to confirm that both your speakers are either pre-November 2013 or post-November 2013 and not one of each.

I have 3 minirig speakers, 2 speakers and a sub. I've had them for a few years now and they're faultless. superb quality and unparalleled sound. Alas, the same can't be said for their cables, which, if I'm being kind, have been of questionable quality. I think I've had 3 fail and the splitter cable to link the speakers is now failing. Let's hope this item fairs a lot better.

Good quality and value. Work as intended with great stereo separation between my minirigs. Don't need to use the cable often but I have used this setup to watch movies on TV so that there is no lag. Loving my minirigs by the way!

Very sad to say that with only about 6 months use that the MINIRIG splitter cable already does not work down the 'white marked cable' when i have paid £7.99 plus postage for some thing you expect it work, especially when it is not stored coiled up as i use it to connect my MINIRIG & SUBWOOFER to my static computer. I am highly disappointed with this product's quality and that value for money on this item is zero. I feel that the speakers are completely let down with this product.

Good quality cables and work great But the picture on the ad is misleading When I received the cable it was nowhere near as long as in the picture I feel abit let down by minirigs as I wanted more separation from the sub 3 iv just brought from them

love the minirigs and this cable is well made and for a tenner nearly(with postage) it needs to be. Only problem is that it will only play through the low gain port, when plugged into the high gain the sub refuses to turn on and just cycles off and on, I know that some pre 2014 minirigs in combo with 2013 rigs have a problem with this cable, but this is not the case here. May still keep as its nice to be able to turn the rigs off via the sub.

If you have just purchased two brand new mini rigs say made in the last year oso it's great you can turn your system on and off via your sub and get great equal quality sound stereo, I have a mixture of mini rigs dating back from when you could have your name printed on the bottom to ones purchased and produced this year, I don't generally favour any of them because each mini rig does the job perfectly but this cable I bought one thought it was dodgy so bought a second then over time relised there is a difference in the circuitry since the sub came out.

Funciona perfectamente, lo conecto a dos Minirig 3 y al Minirig Sub 2 y va de lujo, hace la separación en stereo perfectamente ademas que al enchufarlo los altavoces se encienden solos y luego para apagarlos mantienes pulsado el boton del subwoofer y ya se apagan los 3.Se ve de buena calidad aunque eso el tiempo lo dirá.

Un poco endebles

Decepción, mal construidos ya que para que funcionaran tenia que sacarlo unos mm. del conector. Aún estoy esperando las disculpas o explicaciones del fabricante
