Works for cruise ships and compact enough for my luggage?

Yes, this non surge protector power strip is perfect for cruise ships as all other customers mentioned in their comments. :) It is small & compact, and does not take much space whether in your luggage, backpack or even in your pocket (if you like. lol ). I took one on the Carnival Imagination and had no problem. The reason I bought this particular power strip is because it is a non-surge protecting unit, just like the cruise line said I needed. I think they took yours by mistake.

Does this power strip have a manual on / off switch?
