Works well
Solid unit that works well. Hefty construct that won't tip over easily. Acceptable level of fan noise. Extra filter elements are nice to have. I'd like to have a longer power cord for my use but the included one is probably good for most cases. Very noticeable difference in fumes using this extractor.

Great for DIYers
For the past few years, I have been DIY electronic/SMD repairs. I finally decided to get a fume extractor after my fiancé complained about the smell/smoke after my last repair. Although the smoke never bothered me... I'm sure it was not healthy for me to be inhaling these toxic fumes.Used this to extract the fumes on my last 2 repairs I have been working on... no complaints from my fiancé and no toxic fumes getting inhaled. Do yourself a favor and get one if you work with a soldering iron or heat gun. Thank me later!

Works well for the price
I assume the fancy Hakko at 3x the price works better, but the filtration and suction are better than I expected. Sturdy construction too, but also reasonably modular and serviceable - if the fan dies someday, a standard 12V can just be swapped in.

Really powerful fan
The media could not be loaded. Gets rid of smoke really quick, I set it up near my window and u don’t have to worry about having smoke in my room. The size is pretty decent but does the job. The fan itself is really powerful don’t know the exact rpms but it spins really fast. Comes with extra filter pads.

Do not purchase this
I bought this and when I first turned it on, you could hear the metal inside of the fan knocking against something. It's very loud. It's so shoddily constructed that the fan blade itself is loose enough to hit it's surroundings. The only time it doesn't make that noise is when you turn it on it's face, which totally defeats the purpose of having it on my desk. This was not worth the money.
