Everest Classic Bunk Bed, 4ft Double

My 12 year old twins absolutely love there new bunk beds! Sturdy beds, great price!!

Ordering was easy and the bed arrived in good time.We built it ourselves, no parts were missing and they were well labelled. The construction took slightly longer than expected but we wanted to make sure it was totally right.I bought standard small double memory foam mattresses (Silentnight) and they fit very well.My teenage son sleeps on the bottom bunk and finds it very comfortable. My only small criticism would be that the top bunk is very close to the ceiling and my second teenage son finds it difficult to get into and out of it, and it feels a little tight when he's in there, and I struggle to change the sheets. The top of the rail is 45cm from my ceiling (top of mattress approx. 65cm from the ceiling).The bottom bunk has good spacing to the top bunk, which is big enough to house a large TV on the wall and sit up in to watch tv / play games.I'd recommend this bed and its build quality, but just be aware of the top bunk spacing to give the larger bottom bunk space.

The main posts were incorrectly labeled making the assembly frustrating. The instructions are NOT clear. The assembled bunk beds are not sturdy at all. My daughter is only 11 and I don't think she can be on the top bunk, it shakes too much in the shear plane. Think of a square becoming a parallelogram. If I keep the bunk beds, I will have to re-enforce the frame. All the wooden parts are very thin. The room is 240 cm high which isn't big enough for this bed. The top bunk starts at over 140cm above the floor so leaves too little room for the top occupant and the mattress.The mattress are utter rubbish. Thought they sent me the wrong ones. The 20cm thick matress is only 15 cm thick. Of course they make returning as difficult as possible.If you want to return the mattress you have to vacuume pack it in its original packaging! And then pay them to collect it!!!!! They are having great difficulty telling me how much that will be.Trying to get the small part that is missing was an exercise in frustration. I don't recommend it. It's all done through their self help web site. You can't talk to anyone. The phone number provided is a recorded message telling you to got to the self help web site.

The media could not be loaded.  Really impressed with the quality of this bunk bed, I'm so pleased with it. I really wanted to make sure I got a bunk bed that was sturdy and of good quality, so after alot of searching, I decided to go with this and I'm really happy!Assembly took all day, but that's down to me and my partner not being great with flat pack lol, instructions were very helpful with the colour coded bits and bobs, and the online video clips were a lifesaver!!Delivery was prompt, and lovely driver aswell.Overall definitely recommend!

I bought this for teenagers who share a room. The bed is very sturdy, it took 2 people about 3 hours to put together, but at one point we needed 3 people to hold up the head and foot ends to be able to add the side, apart from that it is the best bunk bed we have ever bought. There were lots of extra screws and dowels. The wood is really good solid quality pine, and it comes with colour codes so you know which piece goes where. I would recommend this bed, its solid and strong. It needs 2 "small double" size mattresses, (the 4ft size). My daughter was a bit wary of using the ladder, because their previous bunk beds were singles, with a slanted ladder and hand rail, this ladder is straight up and down, shes been using this one for a week now and is getting used to climbing down (while half asleep), but I still feel like I have to be there when shes climbing down.An adult can sit comfortably on the bottom bunk without having to bend as theres loads of space between the bottom and top bunk. Overall I'm really pleased with this double bunk bed. I've not seen another that is as good as this one.

I read a lot of reviews about this bed and I'm happy I purchased it. It did take quite a while to assemble but that's probably just down to dad and son disagreeing on exactly what the diagrams say on the instructions. By the end the beds looked fantastic and perfect for my two growing teenage sons (14 & 15). My son that sleeps on the bottom bunk is able to sit up comfortably in his bed without hitting his head infact there's ample room even after sitting up. So that's exactly what we wanted. Although, my biggest disappointment was the four pillars. They are actually quite slim and for that reason the bunk bed shakes and squeaks quite a lot, but now that the boys have been using it for a few months they have become used to it, but it is annoying and a shame that thicker corner posts were not used by the manufacturers. So for that reason I have awarded this bunk bed four stars.

I did a lot of research before investing in bunkbeds for my daughters. They are ten but I needed something that I wouldn’t have to replace any time soon. We opted for small double bunks so they can have friends stay over.I looked at far more expensive bunkbeds, ones with fancy trimmings and shelving etc. In the end the reviews swayed me. These bunks are absolutely solid, they feel like they’ll outlive me! They’re sturdy when my husband is up their changing the bedding (16 stone). There is plenty of clearance for me to sit and read bedtime stories - I’m 5’9”.It took my husband most of the day to put them up but he isn’t very handy and took his time.They look great painted in their favourite colour.I don’t usually bother leaving reviews but felt compelled to. Call off the search.

Some of the planks were twisted but I had a handy man build it so he managed to work with it and get it together. I think it took a while to put together and the instructions supplied weren’t great so he googled the make and got some better instructions online. Now it’s assembled it feels sturdy and my boys love it. So much more spacious than a single for a similar price.
