Easy. DIY, slide seals
Ours is in two pieces. Wiper seperate from tubing. Chk yur slide seal b4 purcashing. Its easy to be fooled into thinking yur buying the right one when in fact it is the wrong one. Slide it off gently to make sure, then measure b4 u buy. If tube part doesnt slide off track its probably all one piece, and some is 3M sticky. Maybe. Could just be falling apart if it comes away....Also chk "inside" slide seals, they could be bad as well which is not as likely as they have just come off their track. More than likely its the latter. You should condition yur seals each time u do yur roof. We try and clean & condition ours in Spring and then again in Fall. Probably more like every 6mo. Depends really on WHERE we are weatherwise. We were just at 5yr mark and replaced slide seals. Some are getting redone as youll see in pic as one has come off track. That was a professional install. Always chk no matter what.Just over 5 yr mark now, and we had roof recoated. Maintenance on yur RV is critical.Pic's show seal damage outside corner, inside seal off track, torn tubing, dried out back side of tubing, then b4 and after shots of recoated roof.We did our seals ourself 2nd time around but hired out roof recoat.Oh and black spots on roof are NOT mold or mildew, thats weather wear & tear and yur roof coating is deteriorating. Soft spots will start when this occurs, then leaking follows.Good luck. Hope this all helps someone else.
