Meta Quest 3 Silicone Facial Interface

After testing the Meta Quest 3 with the stock facial interface for a while, switching to this silicone replacement felt like stepping into first-class. The difference is immediate - soft, cool against the skin, and far easier to clean after a long Beat Saber marathon (or a slightly embarrassing fitness session). I bought this to replace the fabric facial interface on my Quest 3 because it absorbed way too much sweat during more physical games, and this silicone one has been perfect. It was really easy to install — it clicked straight onto the headset and fit properly with no gaps. It’s much more comfortable to use, and I don’t get those deep lines on my face after longer sessions like I did with the fabric one. It also wipes clean in seconds, which makes a big difference when switching between games or sharing the headset. The adjustment sliders are a nice bonus too. My last facial interface had sliders that eventually snapped, but these feel sturdier and move smoothly without feeling flimsy. Overall, a great upgrade and definitely worth it if you play anything active.

This is 10000% a worthy upgrade. This facial interface is so much more comfortable and soft than the base interface, which is a cheap fabric material which just irritates and scratches at your face. I recommend this product an insane amount, regardless of if you are using your VR Headset for 5 minutes or 5 hours. It's such a game changer and I cannot imagine my life without it. The only reason I am giving it 4* is because I believe this should be the base facial interface, and I am disappointed with Meta's thirst for money by making comfort something that is behind a paywall. It is fairly good value for your money considering how worthy of an upgrade it is, and it fits perfectly.

I got this on sale 1/2 price. However I am not taking that into account on the review. Great upgrade. Soft, plyable. The original frame is a bit of a struggle to get out, but then this literally just clips straight in, no fuss. It retains the 3 level adjustment, for how far you want it from your face. However the fit is a little tighter around the eyes than the standard mask, so if your glasses are a tight squeeze on the original, they may not fit potentially. Just a thought. Nose guard remains the same, a little room to see. But as this mask is more snug, you will loose most ability to peep under the headset. You still can, but it's not a lot. This is an upgrade for immersion. Absolutely reduces fogging to near zero. As for the "stickiness" others have commented on. Yes, it has a slight tack to it.... Not unpleasant like unwashed sticky. Purposeful sticky. It adheres to your face slightly. This means you don't have to have the head strap as tight, so reduces face ache. Especially when used in conjunction with an aftermarket headatrap. When removing the head set, there is a very slight suction/stick to overcome. But again, not unpleasant, makes the headset fit a lot more snug, and doesn't leave any marks behind at all. 3 hrs flight sim isn't an issue at all. Wipes clean instantly if you do sweat.face feels fine after a few seconds of removing. Unlike the original which has in occasion, left my face feeling a little itchy on prolonged sessions for 20bmins after. Overall definitely an upgrade in comfort, ergonomics, immersion, and more importantly..... Hygiene.

I didn’t expect much difference from the stock facial interface, but I was completely wrong. This silicone facial interface has made a huge improvement in my VR experience: - Far less fog on the lenses - Much more comfortable to wear, even during long sessions - Stays perfectly in place (no more headset sliding down onto my nose) - Feels cool and breathable - Extremely easy to clean - Leaves minimal red marks after intense gameplay It’s a small upgrade that delivers big results.

I'm giving this the full 5 star treatment as it ticks all the boxes except price. It is pricey but then again it's an official meta facial interface. And, in my opinion meta should provide users the option upon purchasing such an expensive headset as to which facial interface they prefer; the cloth one for light physical activity or the silicone one for moderate to heavy physical activity. I've also wasted time trying other facial interfaces from well known brands. This facial interface has a spacer built-in within the facial interface just like the one that comes in the box when you buy the headset, and other third party options don't include this feature or may include something similar that is finicky. if you are wearing glasses in VR or have lens inserts this is the best facial interface you can buy for workouts. This facial interface also appears to resist lens fog and sweat which is an added bonus. Highly recommended and a must buy for anyone looking to do fitness in VR.

I think my Quest 2 came with a silicone interface, so no idea why Meta decided to have a fabric one for the Quest 3 by default, unless they just want people to buy the silicone interface. It's a good product but massively overpriced and should have been included by default.

Came on time. Fits just the the fabric one the quest 3 ships with. Gets really sweaty but unlike the fabric on you can clean it off easily making it more hygienic in the long run! Very comfortable, feels nice and cool on your skin when you first put it on too which I like. 100% worth it as my 14 year old and I take turns and being a teenager her gets really gross which is lot nice for me when I come to use it after him 😂

Sarebbe da punire Meta con un voto più basso per non averla messa di serie al posto di quella di pezza, costringendo noi utenti all’acquisto successivo di questo “accessorio”. Ma non lo farò, perché debbo limitarmi a dare un giudizio oggettivo su questo singolo prodotto, credo sia più efficaci e per aiutare altri utenti. Premetto che a mio avviso, per via dell’uso intimo con il proprio volto che si ha del visore, è fondamentale una maschera di questo tipo o perlomeno di un copri maschera in silicone. Il contro è che se si fa sport VR senza prendere precauzioni, quindi senza ventilatore o in una stanza calda, e quindi si suda, questa maschera non assorbe il sudore, ma lo farebbe scivolare e diventerebbe scivolosa. Ma personalmente preferisco prendere le precauzioni di temperatura e ventilazione di cui sopra, preferisco usare maschere di silicone, evitando maschera in tessuto, spugne di sudore, che poi si riempiono di batteri, puzzano e oltre a farmi ribrezzo, mi riempiono la pelle di irritazioni e brufoli. Maschere di questo tipo si possono pulire, e quindi dovrebbero essere pulite, dopo ogni uso con carta e un detergente disinfettante compatibile con il silicone. Quando la pulisco prendo la precauzione di infilare un copri lenti (si trovano in vendita a 9€), che oltre ad evitare graffi da trasporto e polvere, in questa fase di pulizia, evitano che la carta umida tocchi le lenti lasciando aloni. Do 5 stelle ma va considerato che: - l’imbottitura avrebbe potuto essere un po’ più piena, più sostenuta per intenderci, anche se è molto comoda. - il fitting è diverso da quella di serie, questa è un po’ più piatta, e per me che ho il viso rotondo è meno avvolgente, tanto che lascia passare piccole particelle fotoniche 😁 dai bordi laterali, che praticamente non noto, tranne appena accendo il visore nel buio più completo dello schermo ed in stanze luminose. Per chi ha il viso più piatto (da destra a sinistra intendo), è meglio. Comunque: - Il silicone, se ci si lava bene il viso prima di usare il visore e si pulisce la maschera dopo ogni uso, è super sano. Non irrita. Inoltre ha una sorta di aderenza stick sul volto, che rende il visore ancora più stabile, magari un pelo più scomodo da spostare negli adattamenti iniziali di calzata, ma poi molto stabile. - la maschera ha, come quella di serie, il telaio a baionetta, che permette di allontanare o avvicinare il viso/gli occhi alle lenti Se non fosse che, se l’avessimo trovata di serie avremmo risparmiato 50€, rispetto alle attuali cover in silicone sul mercato, questo è un prodotto premium, ed il prezzo abbastanza allineato con il mercato. Ovviamente tralasciamo che come quasi tutto oramai, il costo di produzione è probabilmente 1/100 del costo di vendita… ma che ci possiamo fare? Questo è quello che offre la casa. Comunque Amazon la spedisce comodamente a casa (anche questo avrebbe un costo), si offre di fornire la garanzia e l’eventuale servizio di reso (anche questo ha un costo).

Feels just as nice as the quest 2 silicone cover which I love. Easy too clean. Has a cool feeling so hot sessions are chilled a little, would definitely recommend if you don't mind it having no light blocking around the nose
