No, this is craft tissue and not considered to have wet strength.

Q: Regarding spectra art tissue paper, is it wet strength and usable for lantern making?

Our Spectra® Art Tissue is 17-18gsm (or 11 lb) paper that is pretty durable. While we have not tried specifically using for a lantern, I can't see why it wouldn't work. Sounds like a great idea - enjoy!
