Does what it says on the tin!
I have been running Parallels on my Mac in order to keep a couple of Windows based programmes I often used. Truth to tell it slowed my machine down so much it was hardly worth the bother. I asked the local Apple store about upgrading the RAM and they told me I could do it myself. SO I did. it was easy, memory was recognised immediately and the machine is noticeablely faster. I can now use Memory Map and other programmes eg my video camera fully integrated with the Mac software no freezing up and no discernable reduction in speed. Excellent purchase!

Great Product And super Delivery!!!
I Ordered, This 4GB memory Kit on, Thursday 17th May 2012 @ 09:30, By 8pm Friday The 18th May 2012, they were fitted to my iMac and working and thats only because i was working till 8 probably got here even earlier, thanks guys, super delivery times and product well packaged.This Memory kit is ideal and worked on my iMac 21.5 late '09 5* cheers. Cheaper Than Crucial too, my iMac's running a lot better noe and appears faster on OS X Lion.

Like having a new super fast computer
This product is amazing. I never write reviews but had to share. I updated my late 2008 MacBook to Yosemite and it became so slow to the point where it was unworkable, lots of spinning wheels and a lifetime to load anything. I popped these in (took 5 mins following a you tube video) and they did the job. Like having a new computer, incredibly fast. No more spinning wheels. Highly recommend.

I cannot rave about this purchase enough! My late 2008 macbook was sluggish and slow: iTunes would take 10 minutes to open, and other simple tasks would freeze up before completion.The Crucial RAM upgrade kit was delivered promptly, allowing me to install it, see the results and write this review within 24 hours of its dispatch! The cost of the product is also considerably lower than most others I have looked at.Installation was simple, and the improvement in performance is astounding! My Macbook runs smoothly and speedily; it's almost like having a brand new machine! Better yet, iTunes opens instantly!

My >6 year old Macbook had been upgraded from Leopard to Yosemite over the years, and had become really unresponsive and horrible to use. Bought this, opened it up, popped them in, and it's like having a new laptop again. Proper job!

Disappointed
Didn't work in my late 2009 Mac Mini. I just got error beeps on boot up. After Googling the beeps I found out it's either "bad" ram or not seated correctly.I tried several times to reseat it and just kept getting beeps, put my old 2x 1GB sticks back in, boots perfectly normally.

Works in non Mac too.
Listed as Mac memory but works with non-Mac just fine. I used it in my toshiba netbook and doubled the original one gig and it made a huge difference when combined with a clean install on a new SSD.

MacBook Slow? Not Any More!
We have some older MacBooks that came with 2GB installed. They were really slowing down pretty bad and were almost un-usable. I've purchased 3 of the kits now and they have greatly improved the performance of these devices. It's a cheap and easy way to dramatically increase the performance of your MacBook.Install is also very easy. You have to remove all the screws on the bottom of the laptop and remove the cover. You can see the memory on the bottom right (or top left depending on how you're looking at the laptop). Just pop out the existing memory sticks and replace them with the new ones. Make sure the memory is in there securely or the laptop may not boot!Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade the performance of their old MacBook.
