Fantastic Sound and Effortless Setup
★★★★★ **Fantastic Sound and Effortless Setup** The Sonos Move 2 has been excellent. Setup was extremely easy, and it connected seamlessly with the rest of the Sonos system. Within minutes, it was ready to use. The sound quality is fantastic, with clear vocals, strong bass, and enough power to fill a good-sized room or outdoor space without sounding distorted. For a portable speaker, the sound is particularly impressive. I also really like the flexibility to move it wherever it is needed while still getting the sound quality I expect from Sonos. The battery life has been great as well, so I am not constantly thinking about charging it. Overall, an excellent combination of portability, easy connectivity, and genuinely impressive sound quality. Very happy with it.

Bringing the gap between portability and power
I’m loving it so far. The quality of the sound is great, thought I think it’s not so powerful in the bass as I expected. But comparing to the UE MEGABOOM 3rd gen and it’s indeed superior. Also, it’s a portable system so it’s fair it doesn’t sound like a subwoofer. The design e beautiful! Really love the white look. It’s quite heavy though so it’s not sooo portable. But for what I need it successfully bridge the gap between portability around home and a powerful-ish sound. What I enjoy the most is connectivity. The option to connect via WiFi is really helpful. I can talk in the phone and get messages without the music being interrupted, which is pretty annoying. Also I’m really enjoying Sonos voice assistant. It has a very good range of useful commands. One of the things I chose Sonos was because I wanted a portable speaker with voice assistant with higher security and privacy standards. I’m very satisfied with this purchase. Oh, almost forgot. The charging base is awesome allowing the speaker to be always on and charged.

Get a wifi extender or upgrade your router if you're having connectivity issues.
Wow, I had the Move Gen 1 and the Gen 2 just pushed an already amazing product to the next level. I moved into a new place and my only gripe (that isn't inherently Sonos fault, they have a product that requires a high connectivity standard for a good product experience) is that these products are highly sensitive to their wifi connection. My apartment building has our wifi pre determined at move in, they simply give us a password and every resident has their own password for their connection, it all shares the same WiFi name (SSID). I had to go a buy a network extender that creates a new extra SSID (essentially its own network or extension of the network) and connect all my devices to that network and my phone as well in order to set it up. It simply refused to connect to my Sonos app without the network extender. I grabbed a $33 TP Link extender from Walmart and used that and it connected perfectly fine after that. The sound quality is absolutely incredible as always with Sonos products. I have very sensitive ears due to a health condition and the way Sonos tunes their products absolutely reduces ear strain and is very easy to listen to. It's crystal clear but not high pitched. It's incredibly well balanced even with adjustments to the EQ. It sounds incredibly natural like it's truly in the room with you. Size and weight has some heft to it but it's incredibly portable and worth it given the sound quality you can take with you.

A loud and heavy beast of a moveable Sonos speaker
It's pricey, but it's worth it. There is almost no chance you'll be disappointed in how the Move 2 sounds and the battery life is now more than respectable. If you've invested into the Sonos ecosystem and would benefit from a moveable, but powerful speaker, you should buy this now. The sound is deep and full with great projection, more bass response than you'd expect, and clarity even when at it's very loud max volume. My story is that I wanted a large, loud portable Sonos speaker and that's exactly what I got. My first use of the Move 2 was hosting a bike race party where the front porch and front yard were the primary gathering places (which is unusual, but the course was visible from out there). A smaller speaker like a Roam would have been OK, but even cranked all the way would have been a bit low. I put the Move 2 back in the corner of the porch, turned it 70% up and you could hear and feel it throughout the 40' x 30'ish area we needed it to cover. We also use this when hanging out on our back deck and I'll put it out of the garage window when I'm cutting the grass or gardening. It's about 30% larger than a Play:1/One/Era 100 and probably about 20% louder with more pronounced bass and a wider sound stage. It doesn't sound appreciably louder to me than the original Move, but the additional tweeter means it does cover a noticeably wider area. The original was so directional that I don't know that I'd have brought it to a small tailgate party, but I would bring the Move 2 since it covers a wider area. Sound profile wise, it's more bass capable than you'd expect from a portable speaker. I used the app to add more bass via the EQ and it responds without issue. You will feel bass-heavy songs with this speaker. I've had no issues with WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity. My iPhone 15 Pro Max maintains a clear line-of-sight Bluetooth connection to about 65 feet, but we use it via WiFi since it doesn't leave the property due to the size and weight. If we're driving or taking a train (can't check it on a flight due to the battery), I'd bring the Move 2, otherwise I'd just bring the Roam or B&O A1 (both of which are excellent in their own right) in my carry-on. Again, highly recommended. If you've made it this far, it's probably in your cart already.

Great sound and looks. Horrible YouTube Music integration.
We just remodeled our kitchen and wanted a wireless speaker that we can use to listen to music while we cook and for dinner parties when people come over. Got it on my dad's recommendation. Pros - Great sound and it's loud - Aesthetically pleasing to look at - Easy to operate and great integration with the Sonos app. It relies on wifi instead of bluetooth which means you can control it from anywhere in your home and you can listen to something else in your phone while hearing music keeping both separate. - Sonos app is available for iOS, iPad OS, and Macs (Windows likely). It supports multiple music services including Apple Music. - Can be paired with another unit for stereo sound. - Part of the Sonos ecosystem which allows you to have different music in different rooms if you have other Sonos units all controlled by the Sonos app. - Really good battery life. Has a sleep feature to save even more power. - Supports control via wifi (Sonos app), bluetooth or Airplay - Charging cradle is light and nice looking as well. - Intuitive controls - Easy setup Cons - Not cheap - Doesn't work well with much older wireless routers. It won't connect after going to sleep. - Broken YouTube Music integration (more on that below) - Heavy - Agent support is spotty. The AI chat bot on the Sonos site is actually pretty good - If you set it up somewhere high, it may be difficult to reach the physical controls in the unit specially the power button which is on the back side. - If you use an Apple mobile device I could not find a way to setup a shortcut to the Sonos app on my home screen. May need to research a bit more. Overall I'm pleased with the looks/sound of this unit. I set it up to always be active or go to sleep to save battery life which means we rarely use the power button on the back. One thing to note about this feature which is really hard to find is that if you don't use the unit for more than 2- 3 days it goes into deep sleep (or off) and you will have to use the button in the back to wake it up. At first this annoyed me but it makes sense because if it is in sleep mode too long it may run out of battery which defeats the purpose of using a wireless speaker. That said you can run it on the cradle permanently and not use the sleep mode if you don't mind the cables. If your only music service is YouTube Music be aware that the integration doesn't work very well. From what I was able to research it is more of a Google issue than a Sonos issue. Setting up the service in the Sonos app is very easy but there are several frustrating limitations mainly related to use of the YTM library: 1 - There is a limit in the number of artists that the Sonos app can display for YTM so half of my library is inaccessible. 2 - For the artists that do show looking up music in my library doesn't work. When I search for an album or song that I know is in my library the Sonos app says that it can't find any music to match. 3 - Playlists seem to work as far as I can tell but I don't use playlists much. 4 - If I search for an artist in my YTM library the Sonos app finds it when I click on shuffle play for that artist the Sonos app streams music so I expect to hear only the music that I have in my YTM library for that artist but no, the Sonos app plays all the music that YTM has for that artist which includes things like outtakes, an album I don't like, remixes, live cuts and xmas songs which I don't keep in my YTM library. It is a great unit but if your only music is YTM you may want to pass on this.

Impressive portable speakers from Sonos
Placed a pair of these on their charging stands, downloaded and opened the Sonos app, and the setup was the easiest I’ve ever experienced with such a device. Placed them alongside my television and added them to my Apple TV to compare to the first-generation HomePod pair I use as home theater speakers, and was seriously impressed with their sound quality. I’m keeping the HomePods (along with an RSL Speedwoofer 10S MK II as my home theater setup — I bought the Move 2s for their portability and use outside on my deck for music accompaniment to al fresco dining. They have a much cleaner top end than the HomePods and impressively deep bass, and in an environment where reflected sound is not a factor (HomePods shine in that respect), as on a 2x6 deck railing, they’ll best what HomePods could do — without the need for a power connection. They each have impressive heft and feel like a serious product. Altogether, I am impressed with the move 2s.

Great Outdoor SQ
Hard to imagine a better portable speaker. I have a wonderful audio system in my living room. Probably put about $10K into it. I only mention it to point out I’m serious about good sound quality. And no, the Move 2 doesn’t compare but that’s really apples to oranges. Out on my patio I haven’t heard anything better. Great highs and decent bass from ONE portable speaker. Run it thru the SONOS app and you’re getting HD music. It gets loud enough that my wife gets concerned about the neighbors. I don’t have that issue. For $400 I’m not sure you can do much better unless you want to set up an outdoor custom speaker system. This covers what I need just fine.

patio speaker that doesn't sound like a tin party brick, still a gym bag haul
set it on the patio table and a kitchen counter for a weekend of playlists. listing sells dual-tweeter stereo, auto Trueplay, up to 24 hours battery, IP56, handle, wireless charging base, and USB-C that can top up a phone. indoors on WiFi it sounds like Sonos: clear vocals, bass that doesn't rattle cheap plastic. Trueplay auto-tune makes moving rooms less of an EQ chore. Bluetooth mode is the trip save when there's no Sonosnet. pairing to a phone for a backyard hang took seconds. IP56 lived through a light drizzle and dusty deck without drama. handle is real. the speaker is still denser than the "portable" cartoon in your head. charging base is the nightly parking spot. cable on the base detaches, which is nicer than a fixed brick. line-in isn't the point of this thing. app setup is Sonos-normal. you sign in, run an update, then it joins the rest of the system. voice controls are there if you enable them; I mostly use the app and the capacitive buttons on top. claim vs reality: "24 hours" depends on volume and how hard you push bass outdoors. loud patio nights want a top-off. stereo from one cabinet is wider than old Move, not a living-room pair. USB-C phone charge is an emergency trickle, not a power bank fantasy. it's the speaker you carry once, then leave parked because hauling it room to room gets old. group play with other Sonos speakers is the indoor win. buttons on top are easy by feel in the dark. white shows patio dust. automatic Trueplay keeps tweaking when you drag it from kitchen to deck. skip if you want featherweight Bluetooth only or hate the Sonos app ecosystem. keep if you already speak Sonos and want one can that leaves the house without sounding sad.

Worth the price
Amazing sound and very flexible. Integrated seamlessly with our existing Sonos set up. I have had it with me in my workout room, on the terrace and in the shower. I also love that we can use it as a regular Bluetooth portable speaker.

The Best Outdoor Speaker I’ve tried. Meant for outdoors!
After trying over 10 different outdoor speakers over the years, I finally found one that does what we need and want! The sound is great! It’s waterproof and sunproof ( don’t quote me lol) and perfect for our pool deck. The app is easy to use and plays from Sonos , Apple Music, Spotify, Tune-in, Audible and many more apps that you can add directly into the app. I also easily added to Amazon Firestick for outdoor movie night. I just ordered a second one for true stereo sound. Long battery life and charges easily on the charger that comes with it. The volume in video is at about 40% .
