I had a very hard time tracking this type of bulb down at a retail store since I wanted to make sure I was buying the right thing and was nervous about ordering a light bulb for delivery for fear of breaking. Luckily, this bulb was delivered with no problems whatsoever, and is exactly the right bulb that I needed. The bulb was shipped with its packaging wrapped in bubble wrap, and with a larger box to provide extra security.The bulb itself is somewhat standard. It feels just as bright as the bulb it is replacing (although obviously I can't be sure since I can't compare them at the same time), and provides an ample amount of light for the room. I was pleased with the price and will update this review should the bulb happen to burn out sooner than expected, etc.

The brightness is not what was expected. While it is rated as 100 watts, the previous bulb I had (from another maker) was brighter. Still within acceptable limits though.

My wife got these for her mom, who needed a globe light like this for her kitchen table. First one lasted about a week and stopped working. Returned it for a replacement and that one lasted about 2 weeks. Just returned it for a refund.The place this was being used was a standard, non-dimming light socket above a kitchen table. Shouldn't have been any environment which should cause them to fail this quickly.

I’ve been using these bulbs in my kitchen light for years. Just now had to replace it! Great brightness and longevity!

Packaging was extremely flimsy. Amazing it survived shipping- just stuck in a bag without padding. Once it arrived it was fine.

All my Satco lamps have been excellent. This one is very good looking, the light given is perfect - installed in an entrance way/mud room

Bulb burnt out within 8 wks and it is in light fixative not used often in our home.Do not buy!!!!
