Great for the price.
I used it for cutting back large philodendron and iris plants that froze back in the cold spell. Very sharp and well balanced. Not too heavy. Worked very well and great for the price. Better than loppers for the job.

I feel mighty like Thor
Great little machete, on the heavy side but that makes your job easier. I am very impressed after first use trimming 3 small trees. Super sharp, sheath has a quick remove push point for your thumb. Great design!

Really Impressed
Received it in nice secure packaging. I think the length is perfect, but it’s like ice cream. Everyone has their preferences. For me it possesses great handle economics, with a very secure grip that prevents your hand from riding up on the blade. The blade came very sharp and it is a very secure, hard plastic Kydex style molded sheath with good retention. Time will tell if it dulls the blade or not. Many of them do. I like that it does not have saw teeth on the back of them as my experience is that they are useless and dangerous. I personally would not want to be sawing away on something with a razor, sharp blade pointing up at me. Imagine if you slipped and fell forward. Tools that try and do multiple things rarely do any of them well. I would buy another one of these for a family member as a gift.

Good value machete, handle grip is the only weak spot
This is a solid machete for the price. It came sharp enough to chop through branches without much effort and the bolo blade shape works well for clearing brush. The Air Tech handle is where I have mixed feelings. FLISSA markets it as shock absorbing and it does dampen some impact, but the grip feel isn't great for me personally. It's a little slick and doesn't have the same confidence in hand that their Micarta and G10 handles have on the fixed blade knives. After a session of chopping I found myself wishing for more texture. That said, the blade itself performs well. Good weight, good balance, and the molded sheath holds it securely. For yard work and clearing brush it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone who likes this style of machete. It's fun to use and the price is right. I just personally reach for my other FLISSA knives more often because the handles feel better in my hand. Four stars because the blade earns five but the handle brings it down a notch for me.

Handy little bolo machete
Oh man I bought this for my wife so she can open coconuts. Awesome to watch her lop off the husk and drink the milk then split the coconut open while I stand back and marvel. She likes the size, it is light enough to handle easily and heavy enough to do the job. Well balanced and sharp, just like her. Good value.

Better than Expected
Better than I expected at this price. Thicker blade than its competitors. Sheath works well. The metal is on the soft side, but that gives toughness and it can be sharpened easily in the field.
