The Wirecutter said this was the best treadmill to get (I think I agree)
Bought the treadmill because it was recommended by "The Wirecutter" website. Bought the 4-year protection (because it's a treadmill and IT WILL fall apart). I also opted for the "expert assembly" option. Well, make sure "expert assembly" is available in your area because I tried checking out for an hour before hopping onto Amazon chat (because the final checkout screen would not let me check out). The rep didn't say this to me but I later found out (through my own research) that this was the case. I bring this up because YOU WILL NEED 2 PEOPLE to put this together. It is heavy, there are a lot of parts and it will take you a while. I see there are reviews claiming you can do this on your own, sure, but it will not be easy. I would not recommend doing that. The treadmill itself? It's great. It's comparable (if not better) to most treadmills I've used at the gym. Incline & Speed go up to 10. It's less noisy than a friend's NordicTrack (& his cost twice as much)! It's easy to wipe down & when you are done, you can store it away (the belt folds up). Let me tell you, nothing beats being able to run at home (while reading or watching TV). And then being able to just jump into the shower right after? Priceless. I've been using this for less than a month so take my review only with a grain of salt. I will keep updating as "developments" occur.UPDATE: 04/19/2018It's been ~4 months. I love this thing! All throughout the winter, I was able to run 2 - 4 times each week without having to drive anywhere or freeze outside. Considering the price of gym memberships, this thing has already paid for itself. I thought I would have to clean it a lot, but it's actually not a stain magnet (like, at all). Make sure and get and equipment mat with this because I don't know about you, but I live in an older house and sometimes, it really can shake things up. With the equipment mat, it's not so bad, but still noticeable. All-in-all, regardless of how new your home is, my advice is to always put some padding underneath exercise equipment--especially a treadmill. I have used the incline a few times and change speeds quite frequently as I am running; it is running just as well as the day I bought it. Will continue with updates as they occur.UPDATE: 10/14/2018Almost a year in. I run about 2-3 times a week, 15-30 minutes. It's still working great. I really cannot complain. I have already made my money back on this item from what I have saved by NOT having to go to the gym. Will continue to post updates.UPDATE: 12/12/2018Well, it's been a year. I don't clean the machine as often as I should but it doesn't affect the performance. I would say it's a little more squeaky than when I first bought it. I am still running on it 2-3 times per week for 20-30 minutes. I have not tested out the AUX port or the built-in speakers but the machine runs extremely well. I have not had any technical issues or hardware problems. Honestly, one of my best purchases of 2017. If I ever need to purchase another treadmill, I will most likely be purchasing the current model of this version. It's simple (but not too basic) and does what it needs to do well. I cannot fathom having to go out to the gym in the cold. As with all treadmills, I will re-iterate that it was not easy to setup but it's also one of those things where, once it is setup, it is wonderful (assuming you don't have to move it to another room). At the same time, did I mention you are able to lift the belt for storage? I have yet to do that but it's a nice extra feature. Literally, I cannot complain. I will continue posting updates.UPDATE: 06/30/2019It's squeaking a lot more than it used to, but I expected this--it's been 1.5 years! Treadmill still runs great and I am using it 2-4 times per week. I still have not tested the AUX port. I JUST tried out the folding feature the other day, out of curiosity, (where the steel frame folds up, to save space) and it's excellent. Still stand by my statement: this was my best purchase of 2017. Will continue posting updates.UPDATE: 04/26/2020This unit went through a move to a new location. It sat on the back of a truck and went to a different location. Since I know nothing about disassembling and putting things back together, I kept it as one piece. We had to remove the little lever that you can use to hold up the belt (it would not fit through the doorway, even after we removed the door--though, you may not run into this problem).I've now set it up in the garage at the new place, and though the belt shifted a little to the left (something I am able to adjust) everything else is fine. There are a few minor scratches on the item, but that came with the move. It is still doing what I need it to do and I cannot complain. Excellent treadmill purchase that, at this point, has more than paid for itself.UPDATE: 11/03/2021It still works, and I use it all the time! I had to oil it once or twice, I think, since I have gotten it. Is it a bit more squeaky now, than it was ~4 years ago, absolutely! And I expected this. I do have to note that I used to run on a base incline of 1 (instead of 0) but now had to up it to 2 because if I run on 1, the running mat area is a little too wobbly and it feels like I am running on an oil slick. I assume this is because it has stretched a bit over time and use. Increasing the incline seems to make it more taut, so that is what I have been doing now. But yes, this still stands as one of my greatest investments of all time! Absolutely no regrets, whatsoever.

Excellent Value Treadmill...
Just received the treadmill today. I didn't take the setup (even though it was offered free), because I didn't want to wait, and other reviewer said the customer is responsible from moving from the front door where it's delivered to where you want it. The guys that delivered for me today were great, and placed it right next to where I planned to set up (no stairs except the front steps).I set it up myself, and only had to move the deck about 10'. Slid it in the box, cut the end, then lifted up on the deck while sliding the cardboard out from underneath. Super easy, but I would not try picking up the deck and carrying it solo. Was easy to put the unit together. Instructions were very simple and all parts in good condition. I took my time and cleaned up plastic/cardboard/zips/etc. while I worked and it took me about 2 hours. My biggest problem was setting it up in a confined space with the front and one side blocked in by a corner and the other side blocked in by a large desk. Made squirming around and under a bit difficult, but was manageable. Next time I'd put it together elsewhere and roll it into place.Right now it seems to operate perfectly. After calibrating the belt (about 3/4 of a turn) I jogged for 15 minutes and walked for 15 minutes. Incline adjustment was smooth up to 5, and speed adjustments were also smooth. I do wish it were capable of .5 quick speed adjustments, rather than having to cycle up .1 at a time. It's not quiet, but it's not loud, typical treadmill noise. The belt moving is louder than the motor which is surprisingly quiet. The speakers are a slight bit better than the ones on my elliptical, which means they're slightly above useless. The chime noise made when you adjust the volume is louder than anything on the speakers. I like that the cupholders are flat and can hold normal cups/glasses. I bought this for my office so I could move a bit while working. Leisurely pace in the morning while reading/responding to emails and drinking coffee will be appreciated. I'm not a runner, so casual jogs in the afternoon will be the hardest I push this. It seems sturdy and able to withstand more than that. I like the spring on the deck. Not noticeable unless you look for it.For now I'll give it a 5. If I have issues in the next year that may change, but for now it seems like a great value. Except for Amazon's daily price changes on treadmills. Make it a real PITA to comparison shop and read reviews when the prices are constantly changing by hundreds of $$.

Excellent value for quality treadmill.
A quality treadmill with all essential features needed while avoiding gimmicky technology that will either fail or become outdated. Good width is comfortable to swing arms, 2.5hp motor is quiet, and deck is solid with slight flex. The basic 6” display is clear and bright while panel layout is easy to adjust speed and incline. Dual grip pulse monitor works well. Speaker volume is quiet if your tablet/phone has weak output.Delivery arrived on time to our front door where we unboxed it to make it easier to move downstairs.Assembly instructions are straightforward allowing 2 people to complete in one hour.IFit registration/activation is NOT mandatory and bypassed by holding button for 20 seconds.Would prefer an assisted folding mechanism as deck is quite heavy to lift.Highly recommended.

Worth it
Edit: two weeks after getting the pro-form it completely stopped working. Manufacturing defect but I’m pleased to say that the issue was resolved in one phone call and the parts/technician should arrive within 1-2 weeks.Pro: it works really well. It’s relatively quiet. The instructions made it easy to assemble. IFit didn’t require my credit card information in order to activate the treadmill (granted I’ll be subscribing bc it’s awesome!) and it’s cheap $ for a treadmill. The handrails are sturdy. It doesn’t feel flimsy.Cons: it comes unassembled in a huge box. It’s heavy!!! You need tools to assemble it! Tightening those screws isn’t fun or easy. The console screen is not the same as the one pictured in the amazon ad (I included a picture so you can see what I got) - everything minus the different console was to be expected though.

Nothing damaged and works as intended
I weigh 260 and this treadmill handles me jogging fine. It feels sturdy and of good quality for the price I paid of 789$ CAD before tax. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the edge of the belt in a small section were slightly permanently creased but doesn’t seem to affect performance or usability. Also I was able to bypass ifit by just holding down the ifit button for 10 seconds when it turned on and was good to go.

Needs complete assembly and screen activation tied to iFit membership.
It would have been nice if you had mentioned the product would arrive completely un-assembled and would need full assembly. Further, that to activate the product you would either need to provide a credit card for your free 30 day iFit trial or search the internet for a work around. I have barely used the product after spending all weekend getting it assembled and working. I will note that this isn't a fair rating of the treadmill itself but I thought people should know what kind of set up they are in for.

What we wanted
Delivery was when they said, I had to have friends move it downstairs. My husband assembled it by himself kn aboit 40 minutes but missed one of the foot covers- I didn't have the heart to ask him to take it apart enough to correct that. The interface is simple enough and I like that you dont need to go through any menus to pick or change your speed or incline. My 9 year old niece used it with no instructions, my 6'1" 220lbs husband used it (I thought he would hit his head but he has enough clearance) and I use- 5'7" 140lbs. I wasn't sure if the deck would be long enough for me, I wear 34" length pants but I've never had an issue. We have it in a large room (33'x18') in the basement. The noise doesn't bother any of us. For objective context, we listen to music on an alexa dot at the other end of the room and we do have to turn the volume up to 8 or 9 when we otherwise listen at 6. We tend to use it between 3 and 8mph
