I've worn Clarks shoes for nearly 50 years and always find them to be well-presented, high-quality and consistently sized. I was attracted to the 'Funny Dream' range not by their rather strange name but from having their earlier predecessors, the Polyveldts back in the early 1980s. They were quite innovative in their day and I remember how they were almost impossible to wear out. These 'Funny Dream' successors are made from high quality leather and the same spongy rubber soles which are so comfortable to walk in on any surface and particularly hard floors where every step is cushioned. Although they don't have grooved tread on the sole, they are non-slip so can be happily worn on a polished floor or staircase with no danger of skidding - or even on a wet floor.This 'nude' pair are made from light leather with a light leather lining and a patterned section on the top. There's a cushioned inner sole and, following a few wears, this moulds itself to the shape of your feet and there's a further cushioned pad beneath the heel. They are comfortable straight from the box with no need to break them in although my pair felt slightly bigger than pairs in other colours - but I'm only talking 1-2mm. They are supplied fitted with leather and a spare pair of cream colour laces are included too.Definitely recommended. They're not the cheapest shoes but they last for years.

Really great shoe - looks a bit 'out there' so probably wouldn't recommend if your conservative with your clothes. Really lovely in the pewter colour. Go with no clothes whatsoever --- have to have the right personality and odd wardrobe to wear. Sometimes just find myself staring at them as there so odd - almost 'silly'? (wouldn't normally buy!) Craftsmanship and quality are fab. Glad I bought them!

I love these shoes. In the 80's these were called polys and they were the most popular shoe to have at school.I was thrilled when they bought these back and i now have them in 11 different colours. They are soft and comfortable and feel like you are walking on air.These are not grey, they are sage green and gorgeous. Because they are Nubuck leather they will need waterproofing. I can highly recommend scotchguard as i use it on all my shoes.Nothing negative to say at all.

This shoe is not easy to find in the size I need to accommodate a splint for foot drop so I was delighted to find it in raspberry suede. I have had several pairs in various colours of this style, Funny Dream, by Clark’s as they are the most comfortable I can find. I hope they continue to make them and I hope Amazon continues to make my search for them very easy.

What a disappointment!This is the third pair of these shoes I have ordered.The first two pairs have been great, definite five stars.They were comfortable immediately and I have worn them for many months.This new pair in red(brick) look great but they are tight, very tight!On checking the labels inside it appears that the manufacturer may have changed.I have returned them and ordered a pair of 5.5s rather than my usual 5.Fingers crossed these work out.update:I've now received the 5.5s and have worn them several times.They are good, rather than brilliant.Still a bit tight but loosening with wear.Not unreasonable to move from 3 stars to 4 stars

Comfort at its best. Wide toebox and rubber sole make these shoes feel just made for you. I have purchased three different colours, these are my walking shoes over and above all the 'good' trainers I own. Worth every penny. Would buy every colour if I could afford too. They are also stylish, the grey ones have a lovely design on the leather. The laces even have a soft sturdy feel as well. These are shoes that when you take them off you don't see marks on your feet, that means your feet have a natural room to move. You can wear them in town or over slightly rough terrain when in forest parks etc and they meet all your comfort needs.

Very much different to image on listing regarding colour - not bright navy suede as appears in image, but nearly black. Also took a long time to arrive- as a frontline NHS worker, I had hoped for a speedy or timely delivery. Regarding fit - as always, for me, Clarks shoes are a good comfortable fit, but due to disappointment in colour & appearance and time it took to receive, I had to return.

Arrived next day (Prime) ......... out the box ......... on the feet ......... housework .......... took the dogs for a walk an hour and a half over some rough terrain !!!! NO SOCKS !Wowzer ... worth every single penny .. I may well be buying more of these little gems of design.
