I’ve been prescribed SSRIs for anxiety and depression for about 5 months and since then I’ve been looking for alternatives due to SSRIs making me feel dull and depleted most of time. I’ve taken Agmatine at a dosage of 500mg upon waking up and 500mg before bed up to 3 weeks now and its safe to assume that it has been working to stave off my depression and anxiety, I would say it help reduced my depressive episodes by 80% and anxiety by 70%. I have bad social anxiety when it comes to meeting new people or in my case going to a job interview. I took 500mg 30min before an interview and it went super well and felt no rush of thoughts and panic during the whole interview process. Of course I’ve felt a little nervous coming into the interview but it was VERY well manageable on agmantine.

The product is fine but it’s advertised as 1000mg and they’re actually 650mg(including weight of capsule itself). I weighed a bunch of the capsules. They averaged at just a touch under 650mg. It’s not a huge deal in my case as I’ll still take one in the morning and one in the evening but someone who is very sensitive to dosages needs to know this. I use usually make my own capsules which weight out to around 550mg so it sort of works in my favor that these are light.

After a few weeks of taking these, I read they help with mental health and I certainly feel like my mind is much more clear and happier. I have not noticed any weird side affects (their shouldn't be anyway). My sleep has been amazing and I wake up very energized ready for my day

I researched agmatine and its NMDA-antagonist properties prior to taking it, and this was the first brand I tried. It certainly works well for me; drastically reduces pharmacological tolerance to psychoactive substances (thereby decreasing use)—especially to delta-9 THC in cannabis—and helps noticeably with chronic anxiety and depression. I’m impressed, and I highly recommend this stuff! Some people advocate for a dosage of 1,000 mg twice per day, but I personally prefer 500 mg twice per day; the higher dose causes a bit of dissociation, leading to a bit less motivation and drive to get things done. However, when a responsible amount is used prior to exercise, it can provide a noticeable increase in stamina for both cardiovascular training and weightlifting. 5/5

After using agmatine for several months and having great results for pain relief (neuropathic and general), energy levels, mood, motivation and potentiation of RX meds, I was sold on its benefits. That is, until I decided to try Nutricost Agmatine capsules. Three days after running out of my other brand and starting this one, literally ALL of the positive benefits of Agmatine I'd experienced before simply vanished. I became lethargic, moody, my pain came back to pre-agmatine levels, and I was generally just miserable on every level.This may in fact be agmatine, but as several other reviewers have noted, it doesn't seem to have the effects/benefits that one would expect. In fact, it made me feel worse than I did in my pre-agmatine days. And if you're looking to agmatine to boost the effectiveness of your prescribed medications...keep looking. I can't help but wonder how many people tried this brand of agmatine because it's cheap and because Nutricost generally has a good reputation, only to find that it "didn't work for them". Agmatine has been one of the most (if not THE most) beneficial supplements I've ever taken in my 30 years of using such products. But if you've tried this brand and felt NONE of the purported benefits, you owe it to yourself to give another brand a shot.Also, apparently I can't return this bottle of agmatine for a refund, which further enforces my belief that Nutricost is using the cheapest and lowest quality suppliers they can, and don't want to be deluged with hundreds of refunds from their numerous products on Amazon. I've used a number of their products in the past, but agmatine is a supplement you can actually FEEL working, so in this case I can tell for certain that this particular brand is absolute garbage.

I started taking a week ago...2 tablets every evenings. Don't feel any different so far.Will continue until bottle is finished and update review.
