Q: Can this fan be used as cpu fan? and connect it to motherboard directly?

it can be used as a CPU fan but the fan cannot be directly connected to the motherboard. the fans can only connect to its fan controller that comes with the fans.

Q: How do you sync these with asus aura? mine show up but i can't control the rgb.

Are you using the ARGB header then you should be able to control it. If not try contacting the manufacturer

Only if it has a 3 pin 5 volt argb header.

Q: is there only a ring of rgb around or is it glowing from the middle as well?

its just the Halo ring. no light from the middle...However they do look realy nice
