GuteWomen's Watch Luxury Mechanical Stainless Steel Skeleton Steampunk Automatic Self Winding Wristwatch

This is my second order for me of this watch. I dropped the first on from quite a distance and it stopped working. That is my only reason for the second one. I get so many compliments on this watch. It is very different in that it is not a battery operated. It is a skeleton type of watch, which means you can see the gears working. There are rhinestones around the face, but they are not gaudy- it just catches attention. I have had this particular watch for over a year and it is going strong being used each day. Your hand movement is what keeps it going. I spend quite a bit of time not moving my hands or arms a lot, but this watch keeps going overnight when it is on the nightstand. I have very small wrists and it is easily and comfortably adjusted to fit me. I gave one to a friend who has much larger wrists than I do, and it fits her perfectly too. It is not too big, nor is it too little. Between the size of a quarter and a half dollar. A beautiful watch, I get many compliments on it. It doesn't stick out to where it gets in the way. And the price makes it a fantastic gift or a great addition to your wardrobe. I can't praise it enough! It is a keeper.

I can't get to stores to replace watch batteries, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a mechanical watch - so I was happy to find this beautiful self-winding automatic skeleton watch at a very reasonable price. It has kept perfect time, so far (you do need to reset and wind it if you leave it off overnight, and it loses a little bit of time if your arm is at rest for awhile). It's such a good watch for the price, that I even purchased a backup in another style (three choices are available - gold or silver with metal bands, or silver with a white leather band). I was concerned that the straps might be too large for my 5.5 inch wrist, but there was no problem - the metal strap has a sliding clasp, and the last hole on the leather band worked fine - the extra length does not flop around, as it's held in place by double loops on the band.Neither of these watches came with the tool for changing or adjusting watch bands, but that was no big deal for me because I like the straps as they are, and the metal band adjustment is easily accomplished with the tip of a paring knife or screwdriver. Both watches were shipped very, very fast, in sturdy boxes. You really can't go wrong with any of these Gute selections, if you're looking for an affordable, elegant automatic watch.

This watch is broken. I've had it for about four months. I don't wear it everyday. I've never dropped it. It does not keep the time. It is hard to wind. The dial seizes up when I try to wind it. Sometimes after it is wound, the hands freeze and stop ticking. When I tap the face to get the hands to move, the hands sometimes stop moving shortly after they start to move. The watch face is very fashionable and it was affordable, so it is a shame that there is a mechanical defect in the assembly.

I love how this looks and how sturdy it has been. Unfortunately it doesn't keep time very well compared to all the digital/phone watches out now. It is self winding but I don't wear mine all the time so when I take it off after work it sits not winding and the time is off almost everyday. I just adjust it and it works for the day and that is enough for me.

EDIT: Seven months in and not only did one of the tiny bands break off, but the watch has completely stopped working. I am SO sad because I really loved this watch. I don't know what happened. It is having some kind of mechanical issue where it no longer winds. I only wear my watch at work, so I feel very confident that it is not something I did (such as get it wet). Very disappointed. A watch like this should last a very long time, not just 7 months.Original: I LOVE this watch! I have a hard time with battery watches because the battery always dies out super fast. I love that I can just wind this watch and I'm good for the day. I wind it in the morning and at night, but it is so easy to set that it really is not a big deal. I just check the watch when I put it on to verify the time is right. My only complaint about the watch is that the small loops of material that keep the end of the band from sticking up will break. The material has grooves in it, and mine is cracking inside the groove and is about to break off. I knew it was going to happen when I first got it, but I opted to keep it to avoid the hassle of switching it out. I would still recommend this watch, as it is a fantastic watch.

I have had this watch for over a month now and it is still unbelievable. This is my favorite watch. It appears to be very well made. At this point I would recommend it. It has an incredible price point for the level of design and quality. I will write another review on it in 6 months stay tuned!**UPDATE**Ok so here is my experience with this watch. I wear this watch just about every day and the sapphire on the adjustment dial has fallen out that part of the watch is not the sturdiest assembly. The metal band is beginning to separate from the it's connection point to the main watch face. Lastly, I have noticed that if I don't wear the watch overnight, that it will stop and I need to crank it and monitor it's timekeeping for a day or two to make sure it keeps the time properly. Overall I think these issues are minor because the watch face itself is still beautiful and in working order. This is a great watch for the price, but be prepared to replace the band if you wear this watch every day. They must be able to offer this watch at such a great price point buy skimping on the watch band quality, I can live with that.
