I read the book “Eat right for your blood type” and bought this cookbook to go with it. I lost weight without even trying by simply pairing foods that I liked with what was beneficial to my blood type. This cookbook offered great ideas and easy recipes to follow.

Awesome!
The concepts make sense. The book explains why some people can diet and loose weight and others cannot in spite of extreme and continuous effort and consistency. The charts are so easy to follow and the receipts are so well planned out and inviting. Any one can follow these simple techniques on any budget. The principles are thoroughly explained and easily understood by any lay person. I reccomend this book for anyone interested in feeling better, addressing food alergies, dieting or just wanting to feel better and have more energy.

Useful book
I like the charts of the beneficial foods and what to avoid it is pretty handy when you go grocery shopping. This book covers all blood types so it is convenient, but if you want more detail then getting the book for a specific blood type would work. I like the recipes and how easy it is to follow,easy to figure out what blood type the recipes are aimed for, and even what ingredients should be avoided. The meal plan at the end of book comes in handy when you are stuck and trying to figure out what to eat. Good and informative overall.

How to feel good!
I use this book all the time for cooking for my blood type. I find it the best cookbook for my age, when years of eating wrong have caught up with me. 80% of the world is O type blood, and so many are eating the wrong foods. Corn, potatoes, wheat....among the no-no foods for me. My doctor spent two years giving me drugs to right my system. 24 hours on the Type O diet fixed so many of the irritating and inconvenient health issues . This book goes with Eat Right 4 Your Type, an essential read. But be prepared to give up some modern foods, or eat them only occasionally. O types don't do well as vegetarians, but Type As do. Type Os eating the wrong food can eventually end up obese and ill. Learn the background then use this book and Eat Right to carry out a new nutrition plan. I so glad I did.

I've learned that I need to be more open minded about a lot of different foods
It sucks that I don't have a bookstore nearby where I can browse books. I would like to have reviewed this book before purchasing it. It's quite thick and heavy and I am least likely to pick it up and read it. It has a great deal of information in it but I haven't had much time to fully read it all.

Dieting is not necessary!
This is probably my favorite book. I believe in the "Blood Type" theory when it comes to keeping the weight off! When I make up my mind to keeping the weight gain at bay, all I have to do is go back to eating what is recommended by Dr. D'Adamo. You're never hungry. "Cook for Your Type" is the best of his series of books because it explains why the doctor's theory works and how. It gives you all the charts for each blood type, and then has recipes for great, simple food, labeled by blood type. It is definitely a "game changer".

I'm not much of a reviewer and I'm not one for making other folk lots of money without receiving some form of commission or indeed blowing somebody's trumpet (ooer) so I will stick to the facts:- I bought this book after becoming a blood donor and finding out my 'type'. A few searches on amazon soon brought me here so here goes:- 1) I've lost 1 stone 2 pounds in 5 weeks 2) I was 14 1/2 stone before that and have been that for around 15 years (look after myself kind of........) 3) The weight disappeared from the top of my legs, bottom and waist without rigorous exercise! 4) I have been introduced to a lot of new foods (not so new to most folk) but now eat more than I did before this book! 5) I used to take supplements for achy bones and digestion but now just take a calcium supplement as recommended for type O' that's me!

Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo's blood type books have proven very helpful in my self care and body issues like joint disorders and my doctors recommending gluten free, lactose free, etc.

This book is a good compliment for the original, "Eat Right For Your Type." It gives easy recipes and displays clearly how each recipe affects the different blood types. I have been using this book to help me feel more energetic and possibly lose some weight. So far, so good.
