I recently heard about these, and for plastic models/minis, they're perfect. They don't scratch the plastic but instead almost polish it smooth, it's kind of wild but it works great and doesn't require any follow up work,I wish I could get them super thin for tight spaces, but this variety kit has enough to make it work

Very solid feel. All four are1000 grit, just different shapes. Easy to keep clean. Work wonderfully to polish the edges of epoxy pours.

Each file looks VERY nice and professional. They work well. Each one has a designated case and shape making it easy to tell them apart. Cleaning them is a little difficult but that is sort of what you get with all files. Good product.

This is the first time I've used glass files and at this fine grit they're almost a polishing bar. I use them for Gunpla builds so that works well for my use case. There are 4 files in various form factors, but I believe they're all the same grit (1000?) The serration is only about half to 3 quarters on only one side though, so that was kind of a letdown to me. I wish that the whole side was serrated. They work great though and the little plastic cases they each have is awesome and thoughtful.

Fine if you plan to paint over it.I bought these knowing I’d paint over the places I sanded and they 100% do the job I wanted. If you want a smooth mirror finish this isn’t it. It worked perfect for me and the different sizes are great.

Stedi as a whole just makes solid products the files are no different. I’m super stoked about them and the price point is awesome as well.

These glass files are a must-have for any modeler. Not only do they produce a high-quality, smooth finish, but the hardness of the material combined with their uniform surface means a 10,000-grit file can remove material as effectively as a 200-grit sanding pad. Simply clean them with a brush, and you'll never have to worry about buying standard sanding materials again. Personally, I now only buy specialty-shaped items, and as soon as I find glass versions of those, I'll only need sponges for minor surface prep. They're also excellent as nail files!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Do yourself a favor if you have never tried glass files and get these. It's wierd to consider a "glass" file but these remove material fast and can polish beyond belief. They are easy to clean and are a pleasant addition to you modeling tools. I haven't and doubt I wouldn't try these on things such a photo etch and would keep them as designated files for your styrene.
