These are a lot thicker than the usual flight socks and of a higher compression rating. My legs are prone to excessive swelling after long-term steroid use and flight socks are essential for me. These are no lookers - very Norah Batty! - but they work. I wouldn't want to be seen wearing them so I'll only wear them under trousers! What is peculiar is that even though they are thick and high compression they are much easier to get on than the Scholl flight socks, are more comfortable on, and much cheaper.
