Q: Can smeg work on 220 volts?

I think you would have to have some sort of device (converter or transformer?) attached or plugged into the 220 volt outlet in order to “step-down” the voltage from 220 to 110. Otherwise, you risk harm to yourself and/or the Smeg kettle. Please be careful!

Chrome started yellowing after just 2 uses

I’m very disappointed. 1st I bought one from another Amazon store that came used and rusty. So I decided to purchase another one from the Smeg store just to be disappointed again. This time it came in perfect condition, shinny just like my chrome toaster. But after 2 uses the chrome started yellowing . As you can see in the pictures, the chrome no longer matches . I did not clean it or used any product on it. It appears that the heat causes it to change color. I’m very sad because I was dreaming about having this matching set. There’s lots of bad reviews on this product, but I decided to take a chance on it and it it’s really disappointing.
