Great for kids
Kids enjoyed this activity, the quality of the food was meh but it was fun to do. Don't get your hopes up that it will turn up like the images on the box, it did create quite the mess.

Great kit
This is a great kit! My son absolutely loved being in control in the kitchen. The directions were very easy to follow. Would be a great gift and I think it is a great value for the price!

You're Paying for the Experience
First of all, this makes six small crispy treats, but there are only five wafer stickers. That seems like an oversight in design. Along with that, the wafers are quite a bit bigger than the treats. It seems like they'd work better if they were about the same size as the completed treats. It says that it comes with the sticks, but mine was missing the sticks. I don't know if they were just missing from my set or if they aren't included. We ended up using forks so we could dip the treats in the melted chocolate. The good news is that the melting wafers do seem like they are high quality. They melted easily, and they spread easily on the treats. While this is a fun project for any Transformer fan, it's really not worth the money. You are definitely paying for the experience.

A Pre-Measured Set To Make Crispy Rice Treats But Sadly Lacking A Tangible Item To Remember This Set
I'm The Chef, Too! Transformers Earthspark Treat Pops contains the ingredients you need to make six petite crispy rice treat pops that are decorated with one of 3 different colored chocolates and five unique designs printed on edible paper. The box is very nicely packaged in a gift ready gift box. The contents include:1 Bag of Crispy Rice Cereal3 Bags of Mini Marshmallows3 bags of Colored Chocolate Discs (Blue, Red, and Yellow)1 Edible Sheet of Designs: 3 Transformers (Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and Megatron), Mo, and Robby6 Lollipop Sticks1 Aluminum Tray (a 1x use tray)Instruction Cards: Treat Making Instructions, Build Your Own Cybersleeve, Hot Weather Warning, Food + Safety Warning, and Promo Card for Transformers EarthsparkTo make the treats, you will need to provide 2 tablespoons of butter, 1/4 teaspoon of vegetable oil, wax paper, and cooking spray. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The provided tray is on the petite size thereby each individual Crispy Rice Bar leans on the small side. The Transformer Treats are easy to make as they are simply Rice Krispy Treats that you dip in a colored chocolate before applying the Wafer Paper. I was surprised to see that given that the tray holds 6 bars and the set includes 6 lollipop sticks, that the wafer paper did not include 6 images and instead only has 5. My kids were not pleased to see that not everyone got an actual Transformer image. Unless you watch the show, Transformers: Earthspark, you would not know that Mo and Robby are the main characters in this series. I also did not understand why the marshmallows were bagged as 3 separate bags as opposed to one large bag. I feel that this was simply an unnecessary waste of plastic. The finished product tastes good and leans on the sweet side due to the chocolate dip each treat takes. There is something magical about freshly made crispy rice treats. When it comes to price, it is on the higher side even when considering the use of Transformer character images and the inclusion of the foundation ingredients to make the product are pre-measured and provided. The unique factor ingredient is the edible wafer paper. Outside of that, there is no actual item that the child can keep to remember this set. I wish that the manufacturer included a Transformer designed spoon to mix everything. I think this is where the manufacturer dropped the ball. The product that I received has a best by date of 11 months from the date that I received it. The manufacturer noted that the item may be processed on the same equipment or may contain traces of eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and sesame. If you have an allergy to any or all of these foods, please be aware. Overall, this is a convenient way to have the majority of products needed to make crispy rice cereal treats with special edible wafer images. However, it would be undeniably and noticeably cheaper to purchase a box of crispy rice cereal, a bag of mini marshmallows, and colored chocolate discs that can make exponentially more bars than this set. It just comes down to your priorities and what is most important to you.

Fun but I don't think its very educational.
My son and I had a great time making these rice-crispies. He was involved and enjoying every moment. We made quite a mess honestly and mom was less than impressed. But after the chocolate robots were added and the treats eaten... I was left wondering what my boy actually learned. My issues come down to the cost of this product combined with the questionable educational value. I would have loved to see some extra additions focused on melt points and why the transfer paper works and maybe even something besides Transformers as the product line used. I think this makes a good gift to a fan of those shows but I don't think listing this as educational makes much sense.

A flawed and overpriced activity
For reference, I used to work at a bakery and am fairly adept with decorating. That being said, this kit is a real letdown and not something I would opt to do with kids. The kit makes six treats but only includes five characters, leaving one treat undecorated. It doesn't indicate how much butter to use in the crispies mix. (2 tablespoons is sufficient, BTW.)The instructions are fairly easy to follow but the resulting creation does not stay intact. The treat swirls freely upon the stick -- very messy and frustrating for kids. It is easier to assemble and to eat without using the stick at all.The character wafer does not stay attached to the chocolate whether warm or chilled. In addition, the characters are larger than the shape of the treats. If you were to cut the characters to fit on the treat, you would have to cut off their heads or feet. I tried physically manipulating the treat to expand its height and it caused the treat to crumble. Now here are the pluses:The treats do taste very nice. The melting chocolate is high quality and shouldn't give you any trouble if you follow the directions. I appreciate being able to make a small amount of treats (6) versus a whole giant tray, as my family is small and doesn't need a giant excess of sweets lying around. The character wafers are vibrantly colored. I just wish they stayed on the treats. As a pro tip for fewer dishes, use one bowl for the chocolate. Decorate two treats with yellow, then refill with blue, then red. Working from lightest to darkest keeps the colors from being muddied and will save you from scraping chocolate from two bowls and two spoons.Since the Transformers-themed wafers don't stay on, this treat-making project could be fully replicated by a simple trip to the grocery store at a fraction of the cost.
