Does the job
When setting up the stereo system after some light remodeling of the living room I couldn't find the little wall wart for my phono pre-amp. Like most products from Pro-Ject it used a wall wart that provides 16 vac power, not the more common 5 to 12 vdc power. So not any wall wart can be substituted and I had nothing else on hand to replace it.An actual Pro-Ject replacement wall wart is $$$$, despite (probably) being from the same Chinese source. So I went looking for a comparable spec replacement here on Amazon Prime, and found this little wart. At 1.2 amp it has twice the required current capacity and most of the reviews were positive. And if there was an issue with it there's Amazon's return policy. There's not much to say about it. It's just a plug in transformer in a cubical plastic case that drops your 120 vac down to 16 vac. It plugged right into the pre-amp and the wall socket and worked. My only other concern was that this pre-amp has no power switch and is on all the time, so safety and reliability are concerns.I kept a close eye on it for the first day, checking the temperature of the wall wart and pre-amp regularly. Both remained at room temperature. No detectable warmth at all. The pair have been running together for around two weeks now, still cool to the touch, no buzzing or humming, the pre-amp is working fine.Since it is twice the rated amperage of the original it is also physically larger. That might be an issue if you have a crowded power strip, Other than that very minor nitpick I'm very happy with this purchase.

Seems to be well-made
I bought this transformer to replace the one that broke on my motorcycle's trickle charger. I cut the connector off in order to solder the wires to the charger, and was pleased with the gauge of wires used. The original transformer was rated at only half the current (665 ma), but the wires were much smaller. So, the transformer is apparently pretty well-made if the wire gauge is any indication.
