Trader Joe's Crispy Crunchy Okra 1.4oz (Pack of 2)

It’s ready to eat out of the bag. Good and crispy. The flavor got a little strong at the end of the bag.

It pains me not to be able to give this product a five star review. I’ve been eating Trader Joe’s okra for years. I used to buy them in store, but they remove them from the shelves periodically. I’m pretty much addicted to the snack so I started ordering on Amazon in bulk. At first the shipments were perfect. The okra was crisp, crunchy and fresh every single time. But over the last few months that has not been the case. I’m not sure if Trader Joe’s changed manufacturing or something but the quality has decreased. When I open the bag and see that the tips/heads of the okra have been removed I already know the product won’t be good. While about half of the bag is edible, many of the pods are often stale (soft) or bitter tasting. The quality varies from bag to bag which is terrible from a quality control standpoint. I still ordered some recently because I’m pretty much addicted to the stuff, but my last few shipments have been quite disappointing.

Larger okra used than I am use to and not enough salt. Won’t buy again.

I love okra, but I find these things undesirable.

The okra chips were good and crispy. But I really was missing some sort of seasoning. A little salt or pepper would have made these a five star item. Without the season they fell flat.

I have been buying the Traders Joe's okra for a couple of years now. This was the first time I received a bad batch. There were some in the bag that were too big and those were the ones that seemed not to have been dried out and were very chewy. There are not many in the bag to begin with and to have a handful of them that were not edible makes me not want to purchase them again. They are not cheap and I felt like I wasted money. They don't seem to be as good as they were in the beginning when I first purchased.

There should have been more okra chips in the bag for the price
