Have been using these for the last three months. They are Bluetooth and link to an app on smartphones. The app counts the number of jumps or time- as you specify. I don’t have the ceiling height to use a traditional jump rope, so these are great. It does come with a traditional jump rope, but I have that out away if I ever want to use it. But so far I’ve only used it in the ropeless configuration. It’s very portable and a great way to keep up with cardio if you plan to travel. Or even if you want to get some cardio in while watching TV. The handles are a good weight and the grips are sturdy. They take a couple of batteries- I’ve been using them 4-5 times a week and the batteries are still going strong. This item has been very enjoyable to use. I recommend a mat on the floor where one plans to jump.

Not great but ok for my purposes. I use these at the gym because I found I was wasting time trying to perfect my timing while jumping rope. The counting mechanism in the handle is a wonderful way to keep track of jumps. My goal here is to achieve 100 jumps each of three reps(300 total jumps), this tool keeps me on track to accomplish that goal. The greatest weakness is that the balls at the end of the handles are too light and this makes it difficult to keep momentum going when jumping.
