OspreyUnisex's Biking Backpack

Super Functional & Comfortable
This is my first time getting an expensive "big girl" hiking backpack and I can see why it costs as much as it does. The details are fantastic with each buckle and strap feeling very purposeful. The multiple adjustments that are possible alone make this backpack super comfortable because you can completely customize the fit. I love that you can adjust the shoulder straps and waist strap at multiple points which is particularly nice for my longer torso, wide shoulders and prominent collar bones. The venting and breathability are another great feature along with the stiff internal support which really helps with the weight distribution, allowing you to balance the weight between your shoulders, back and hips. I also really like that the backpack is super lightweight and the straps are smooth and not too wide so that it doesn't feel bulky at all, especially on a smaller frame. I'm not particularly narrow or slight by any means, but sometimes "unisex" backpacks end up feeling way too bulky but the smaller ones just don't have the same features or capacity. This backpack, however, is a great happy medium between something that is lightweight and compact but still mega functional and loaded with pockets and features! I love the built in rain cover, the pocket on the waist strap, and the quick access front pocket.I can absolutely see myself using this backpack for years to come until it falls apart, which honestly I think this backpack could outlast my ability to continue hiking with it haha! Super happy with my big girl backpack and excited for all the hikes to come!

Not a day pack: it is for camping from your bike
This is a small but handy overnight pack for bicyclists. It is well-constructed as with other osprey products. It seems a little stiff at first; I bet it will break in with more use. Overall the 25 L is a great way to carry a small amount of gear for hut-to-hut trips.

Full Featured and Stealthy Light
I continue to be impressed at how many features this backpack has while avoiding being heavy or ungainly. As I unpacked this and looked into the various compartments, I kept finding one cool thing after another. The wonderful thing is that even if you don't use all the features all the time, you're still not burdened by them. They hide, stealthily, until you want them. For fit and comfort, I overloaded the bag and found it was still plenty comfy. In addition to multi-way adjustable shoulder straps and hip belt, the entire shoulder harness can be adjusted up and down relative to the backpack. This is done with a large section of velcro behind the Airscape padding; it is not the kind of thing you do frequently or on the fly. The straps and belt are on the thin side, appropriate for a lightweight biking backpack. There is plenty of maneuverability in the arms, and the backpack is slim enough to not impede motion. I think the dimensions are perfect. The backpack is, for me, day pack size. It has provisions for holding a hydration bag (separate from the main compartment area, thank you), for attaching your helmet with a lidlok, for accessing bulky items from the bottom. There are four compression straps. There are a good number of special pouches. There is one on each side of the hip belt. There is a great one accessible just from the right side. The zipper pulls are lightweight and very easy to grab with a finger. There is a rain cover hidden in the bottom! And the handle at the top is very firm and robust feeling.I think Osprey has done a truly fantastic job. I marvel at how much this backpack does while remaining so lightweight and visibly simple.

High-Quality, Well-Made, Functional, Fantastic!
As a lifelong outdoor lover at almost 69, staying active with hiking, biking, and camping is essential for me and my spouse, both retired now. As an avid backpack collector, I've found Osprey's reputation well-deserved.The fast delivery and impeccable packaging were just the beginning of my satisfaction. From the moment I laid hands on it, I could feel the superior quality of craftsmanship. The strong stitching and smooth-gliding zippers are a testament to its durability.Being 5'4" with a short torso, finding a backpack that fits comfortably has been a challenge, but this Escapist fits perfectly without bumping my head. The padded waist belt, with its dual, large zipper pockets, not only adds to the comfort but also provides convenient storage. Even with my bad back, the backpack's design distributes weight effectively, keeping it off my shoulders.I appreciate the thoughtful features like adjustable straps, numerous pockets for smart packing, and the LidLock helmet and blinky light attachments - perfect for my long bike rides. The high-visibility green rain cover is a practical addition, emphasizing Osprey's attention to detail. While Osprey backpacks may come with a higher price tag, the investment is undoubtedly worth it for the unmatched quality and durability. I can confidently say that this backpack will accompany me on countless adventures for years to come. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-notch quality and functionality in their gear!
