- This clay pot is the cookware most used in Morocco. Tagines are hand-potted from natural clay/clay soil and fired in the oven. In this tagine you can prepare all kinds of dishes (fish, meat, vegetables) on low heat. Thanks to the gentle preparation, many vitamins are retained and the ingredients can develop their full aroma.
- Brief information on proper handling and care:
- Before the first cooking process, the tagine must be washed for approx. 10 hours in water. Then allow to dry well.
- Then the bottom of the pot is greased with oil.
- In the tagine you can prepare stewed dishes on the stove or in the oven. Tagines do not tolerate high heat and should always be heated slowly, maximum at medium heat. If the tagine is placed on a hot stove top or in the already hot oven, it may get a crack. Please note that we cannot guarantee any cracks caused by improper use.
- The tagine is cleaned with warm water, without detergent. Please never clean the tagine in the dishwasher.
