TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Range Extender with AC Passthrough, Wireless Booster (RE360)

Is easy to intall, just plug it and configure it with the TP link app from the Android store

The directions are 1) hard to see/read in the light blue ink. I know it your color but think about the people who have to read it. 2) For a non-tech person the direction could be a bit clearer.

I live in a 50' ranch with our router at one end. Hoped this would work to get better range at the other end of our house, but it didn't help. I am technically challenged :) so it could be that I wasn't doing something right.

No success in having this help.

I'm sure there is a newer version of this out now but this little extender has done a great job. It's been used at my office to extend WiFi to our conference area. It's been used at my home to extend it into a detached shop. I have even used it on my vehicles hotspot to extend it outside of the vehicle with great success. It's not hard to setup but I do have to look up the directions online each time I do. So not quite intuitive enough to do blindfolded.

Doesn't sufficiently extend range

Initial setup was fine but after relocation, 5GHz just would not work - the blue LED light remains off, even when moved back near source router. ALso note that this extender works in Wi-Fi mode only. It cannot bridge with Ethernet cable to a source router and works as Access Point mode. The Ethernet jack on device is for cable to an end point equipment e.g. a desktop computer.

The greatest distance I could achieve from my base wireless access point was about 10' within the same room. A could sometimes get 10' to another room. My computers can use the base wireless at 25'. I had gotten this because my Roku Express needs a strong wireless signal for firmware updates and was getting enough signal 25' and a floor down. But this is ridiculously ineffective
