This is hands down one of the best cleaners for smoking items I have ever used. Just pour enough to coat the entire inner surface area by rotating the piece. No shaking necessary. Leave on for 30 mins, but honestly it's clean in 15mins. Spotless! You can also use a little catcher and pour the excess back into a bowl for cleaning smaller pieces or back into the bottle to reuse! I take what I have left and clean my sink with it. Although I use this for smoking products, it also works incredibly with other surfaces. It's an all purpose cleaner at it's core. The only bad thing about it is the smell, but it's pungent enough that you know it's working. Maybe just turn on a fan, open a window or get a candle lol

Very good cleaner but the scent is strong so if you don’t like the scent of cleaner, I’d recommend a different one. Doesn’t bother me too much! Gets the job done well, though!

Follow the instructions. Squirt the product into the bong. Rotate your bong to evenly coat all dirty surfaces, wait thirty minutes, rinse with the mouth of the bong under the kitchen faucet. Nice and shiny again!

Clearly, reviewers have strong reactions--both good and bad--to this cleaner on first use. Seems to be a matter of personal preference. My experience has been almost overwhelmingly positive, and I have more than 50 years experience with cleaning (or trying to clean) cannabis smoking implements of many kinds. (BTW, It turns out, the cleaner works great on lots of other materials and surfaces, too.)While using it many times over the last 2 months, adjectives like "extraordinary" came to mind. I compared it to using one of the most popular glass bong cleaners, as well as using 90% rubbing alcohol, salt, and water, to clean my glass. With those cleaners, it's usually necessary to do additional scraping and repeated shaking to get results, and they don't do a complete job. By contrast, the Klear Kine was vastly more effective and efficient. It gloms onto the gunk and then simply rinses off.So far, I found it best for making quick work of cleaning bowls, stems, and resinous spots inside of bongs. The whole job is done in 5 minutes. I wouldn't coat an entire bong with it. i just drip some down the stem into the back of the pipe to hit the brown spots, maybe add a few drops of water, then let it work for a few minutes. Finally I swab it out with a paper towel, bristle brush, pipe cleaner, or cotton swab, and rinse several times. I don't find it leaves any film at all, if you rinse it properly. It dissolves residue other cleaners leave behind.Like other reviewers, I was initially surprised at the glue-like smell that tends to waft everywhere, but I soon found the smell easily manageable (by promptly disposing of cotton swabs and paper towels used to apply it, and rinsing the cleaning area). You could also say, "I got used to it," but I'd say I "got in tune with it." The odor dissipates within 5-10 minutes, max. The cleaner is worth it, IMO.I have now used Klear Kine to clean, not only bongs and pipe bowls, but also old tea-stained glassware, a finished wood desk, and the aluminum surface and glass parts of an Arizer V-tower vaporizer, which is 5 years old but now looks like new, thanks to Klear Kryptonite.

Works awesome would not purchase anything else

I tried three different resin and tar removers and every one of them was terrible! Then I ran across the menu and found this incredible product! I literally did nothing other than just pour the goopy syrup down the sides of my pipes! I waited about 45 minutes and washed everything with very hot water! Low and behold, NO TAR AND NO RESIN! I did not smell anything, not a thing! I am now a permanent customer of this incredible product! I even keep an old coffee mug filled with Kryptonite and drop all of my stems and fancy bowls in it and only pull them out when needed I DID NOT USE A BRUSH OF ANY KIND! I DID NOT SHAKE ANYTHING EITHER!! UNFRIGGINBELIEVABLE!!

For some reason, I suck at keeping screens in my bongs. Over the years, i've ordered enough screens to supply a small army, but they always fall out. So I switched to a one-hitter years ago. But I don't actually joy the smoking process, and longed to return to the considerably less harsh intake provided by a water bong. In doing so, I resigned myself to going through a lot of bongs, since it only takes a month or so of screen-challenged use with each one to completely clog the bowl and stem with resin.Then I saw Kyptonite on Amazon. It was a little pricey -- for the $33 (including taxes) I paid for the two-bottle set I could buy two or three no-frills bongs. But the reviews were so good, I decided to give it a go.The green goo was much more viscous than I imagined, and there was definitely an intense odor. But opening a few windows solved that. And after an hour, any questions I had about my investment were answered. After a 60-minute soak, I held the stems under a running faucet and the concrete-like resin from a half-dozen bongs fell off in chunks. I then grabbed a long, thin screwdriver from my tool drawer and inserted it into the stems to help the process along, even more tar poured out in sludgy mounds. I then turned the stems upside down -- bowls facing downward -- and blew out the remaining resin. Within a few minutes, my stems gleamed like the day I bought the bongs that held them. Even better, this stuff can be repurposed, from one bong to the next. Within a few hours, i had a gleaming row of cheap bongs . . . and the confidence that I'd never have to buy another!
