Phomemo P831 Portable Thermal Printer A4, Backup Printer at Home, White

This product is really good value for money and an absolute boon if you need to travel for work. Working mostly from home but with limited space, I had no room on my desk for a large printer or scanner. This was perfect - easy to store and quick and simple to set up. I use it solely by bluetooth via my mobile and it's been great. However having only previously printed with a ribbon, I recently purchased some thermal paper to use the printer in thermal mode. The print quality was very good. However after printing around 12 sheets or so, it refused to print any further, with the app prompting me to reinsert the ribbon - this was odd as I was printing thermally. After trying several things, eg downloading the app again, re-setting the printer, trying a different cartridge with the ribbon removed, I eventually and if I'm honest, without much expectation emailed Phomemo Customer Services. I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt and courteous reply - and after sending the firmware details, I received an email telling me that the next time I opened the app, I would be asked to update it as they had updated the firmware. Intrigued, I opened the app and sure enough, there was the request. I updated the app, set up the printer and bingo - the issue was resolved and I was able to print over 100 pages yesterday without any issues. I was impressed by the hardware - but now I'm even more impressed by their Customer Services and aftercare!

Don't buy this product! It works ok for about 7 times, then the carbon paper attaches itself to the paper and you'll never use it again! Absolute rubbish for FIFTY QUID!!!! And amazon & the sellers couldn't care less

Great bit of kit if you are like me and you don't print a lot or your print jets get clogged from not using this is perfect solution as it uses ribbon

I am very happy with the quality of printing for plain paper and thermal paper. Works perfectly!

Bought to use this for printing labels and b&w lo-fi photos. Struggles to print more than a page and the ink cartridge keeps spilling out. Can be cool for illustrative work but for printing day to day documents it’s not great. The cost of replacing ink cartridge or buying new paper amounts to a new machine, so not much longevity here unfortunately.

Really good product. Uses A4 paper that you manually feed so good for small jobs. Letters etc. Great price

I was so pleased when the printrr arrived, i read all the instructions hah,, to no avail. The very first letter i had it print was mangled inside the printer. I opened the lid and the letter was glued to the ribbon. It would not separate instead it ripped apart, so the ribbon 'cartridge' that came with the printer was destroyed without printing a damned thing. Lucky i ordered a pack of two spare ribbons but not a first (nor last) choice for a printer. The images are so dark, no matter how 'light' you make them, no matter how much you reduce the 'dark'. I tried some photos but absolutely no use to anyone. 1 star because I can't give a negative score like minus 10 stars.

Works great untill ink ran out. Ha ha ha its was sold as inkless and its not . U have to buy more carbon roll and its alot more expensive then a unk cartridge so its great for the odd bit of printing in the go but not as a day to day printer

Muy útil si no imprimes cantidad de hojas a diario. Funciona no solo con papel termico si no con papel normal Un folio de todas la vida te ofrece una impresiónas que decente. Es sencilla de conectar tanto al móvil Cosa muy útil, como ai ordenador. Eni caso es un portátil con sistema operativo Linux mint.. Genial y sin elas mínimo problemas.. Descargué el driver de su página oficial phomemo Pero realmente con solo conectarla con el cable USB...--que no sea un cable finito de solo carga.. Debe ser un cable USB que también sea para transferir datos.. Yo noe si cuenta en un inicio y pensaba que no reconocía la impresora Al cambiar al cable correcto, no tuve ni elasinimp problema... Muyuy recomendada para un uso de los mpresiom esporádica sin necesidad de que la calidad extrema.

I bought this on sale 100cad, which is a good price for the quality. I love the no oink idea, the Bluetooth connection, being wireless and chargeable battery, transferable anywhere, small and light. Paper priced reasonable, but I did not research impacts on environment. I ru na small business, I fed up with toner prices. I will lower the amount I print, and got this baby. I hope it will last long You need to fit the paper perfectly. You can print to both sides!!! Print quality is good for documents and graphics, not so much for photos, but that is ok, as this is not a photo printer. I am satisfied with print quality. Not perfect, but good enough I put normal paper in it and it still work. How is this possible???

Für meine sporadischen Ausdrucke ist der Thermodrucker perfekt. Keine eingetrocknete Tinte mehr, die Bluetooth Verbindung mit der App hat sofort geklappt und die Handhabung erklärt sich von selbst. Die Qualität der Ausdrucke ist gut, sofern nicht mit Tintenstrahl- oder Laserdruckerqualität verglichen wird.

Honestly, if you: 1. Live somewhere small 2. Don't print things often 3. Don't want to waste your money on junk or support cheap-o-printers-with-ink-cartridge-nightmares Get this little thing. Oftentimes you can save 25-50% creating your own shipping label at home vs taking an item to the post office. Or you can skip the quarter charges or weird transaction fees printing things page by page. This is thermal--like receipts, so it doesn't have longevity but for most things you don't Need that. A shipping label needs to survive for a week. A document just needs to get into the hands of the person and be read and scanned. You can use regular old copy paper here, it's really easy to set up, it prints perfectly fine for modest applications... what else do you need?
