Love love love this clock. 21" across, the numerals are 3" tall the outer ring is 1/2" across and the inner rings are slightly narrower. I was afraid it would be too big but being see through the clock is not overwhelming. Very substantial. Received many compliments!

The clock I received has no gold numerals or anything else for that matter, as it appears in the photos. Is this a defect?

It should have a gold coloring to the numbers. It is not a bright gold but there is coloring to it. If that is not the case then it would be a defect. Glad to hellp.

Is this clock black metal or dark grey? It doesnt explain the colors very clearly. Is there another color of metal as well?

It is charcoal, light charcoal, grays and distressed. Roman numerals are a bit bronzish. I've seen this clock and like it very much. But it is, indeed, hard to describe and the Howard Miller photo could use enhancement.Thanks,Joe AmadeoWeatherBuffs1+ 928 635 1088 MST
