I bought this originally thinking it would be something fun for my girls (ages 12,9, and 8) to do together while I was out of town. They’ve done string art in the past and seemed to enjoy it…though I usually throw them in the trash a day or two after they are done with the project.This one is BEAUTIFUL. It will not be going in my trash. I did realize the box states it is appropriate for ages 13+. My very crafty girls handled it fine at their ages, but it definitely could be a little difficult for girls who aren’t as crafty and wouldn’t turn out quite as beautiful.

This String Art set is cool, perfect for older kids. I think this would be a great item for room decor. Most of this set is made of paper which makes the quality not as good. Most children wouldn't notice the difference. So it's still a decent string set.

This was a nice way to spend the afternoon, putting this together. The directions were well written and clear. I appreciated that the paper for the background accents was pre-scored - there's no way I could've made such tidy accordion folds otherwise!Some of the steps were a little difficult - while doing the string art, it's very easy to let slack into the string and have it fall off several pins, requiring you to go back and redo it; and getting the wires for the flowers all gathered up to put in a rubber band was tricky. The kit says 13+, and that's reasonable for safety with handling the pins, but might be a little optimistic for the frustration level.

This is a cute kit and a decent project. The push pins can be a bit hard on your fingers, so do be careful of that. This is a foam board with thick printed paper on the front and thick paper stuff on the back. Most of the pieces are fairly fragile (as they are quite a bit of paper) so you need to be careful with it.While this was an interesting project to do, it felt “Crafty” but not “Creative” to work on this. You complete it by following instructions, and there are some decisions to be made, but your outcome will look quite similar to what they advertise.I would not personally get a similar kit for myself again, but it might be a nice kit for one time.

I finished the project in one sitting, it took me about 3-4 hours total and the final project looked very nice. The instructions were clear and it came with everything you need as well as extras incase you make a mistake. This was my first time doing any sort of string art and it was really fun. Not too difficult but definitely meant for teens and older. Some steps require a bit of dexterity and you need to use pins which are sharp and can poke you. There were some steps that felt a bit hard on the hands, such as making the wire petals and folding the leaves that go in the back. My fingers ached a bit in the end, just something to keep in mind if you have weaker hands. Overall I recommend this kit as a gift for anyone who likes craft or just as something to keep yourself occupied for a few hours.

The suggestion for 13+ is spot on. This is SO cute, and it is fairly straightforward with instructions, but there are a lot of tiny parts and it is definitely for older crafters. My 9yo wanted to help but got frustrated with the amount of work there was, but I enjoyed putting it together and it turned out nicely!

I love trying out new craft projects and have been dying to try string art, but they usually come with a hefty price tag. This one was perfect for me to try out and the finished product is really cute!! The directions were very helpful throughout the entire project, which is a big plus. I had no missing pieces so making this was not a struggle. It does take a bit of time to finish, but I wouldn't say it was an all-day project, maybe just a few hours. I think this is a perfect project for a rainy day and/or if you are like me and have wanted to try out string art.

I've heard of string art many times, but didn't try it. With this kit, there's no reason not to! Everything you need to complete this work of art is included, and the quality of the pieces is very nice. Easy to follow instructions are included, and the size of the finished project is small enough so as not to be overwhelming, but big enough to give you a good idea what this art form is all about. I can recommend this string art kit.
