Hi, Yes if you stand it handle down nozzle up. We have had a fully charged unit on standby on several occasions to deter squirrels from the bird table. If you are storing the unit for long periods, make sure there is some suitable silicone lubricant on the seal or it can get stuck if it gets too dry. Delboy

I got mine earlier this year. If by leak you mean does water come out if the nozzle if you hold it vertically, nozzle down, yes. I use mine to scare squirrels off the bird feeders so I always have it full but stand it nozzle down in a bucket of water. If you mean does it leak from the top end, no mine doesn't. Hope this helps.

I found the water did leak out, it is very stiff to use and jams frequently. By the time you get going, the cat is long gone!

Hello, not sure if you mean to clean them or to scare them off... If the latter then yes it works well for this depending on how far away they are of course. The roof of a 2 storey should be no problem for example.
